As you've probably noticed, we don't really have any native web applications (or even apps) at Signal yet. Our strategy is to build the application that we want to use, and the apps that users use. We have our priorities, and we're going to stick to them.

Here's what Signal Web will be. It will be a browser extension, which can be run in Firefox, Chrome, and Safari.e. It will require Flash, for those browsers that support it, but it will work in all three without any plugins. We'll give you the option to use it or not, so if you don't like it, no harm done.

But what about Signal Desktop? You're asking yourself a lot of good questions, but you're not alone. Our goal is to provide you with an app that is as close to Signal Desktop as possible. There will be a Windows and Mac version of Signal Desktop, both for now, but our Mac version has a few issues that we need to resolve. That app will eventually be released in a few months, so hang tight. In the meantime, we'll release the Windows version when it's ready, and the Mac version when we can.
