Why is my iPad not showing full screen?

Why is my iPad not showing full screen?

I'm on my iPad Air 2 and it's showing an image on the entire screen (image below). I want it to show full screen, though. This has happened a few times before, but is a bit confusing because when it happens, my cursor is over the bottom-left corner, rather than the top-left like it should be.

It's doing it all the time, and all the screenshots I took (with the camera on an iPhone) look identical to this one. Any ideas on what's happening here? Turns out the issue was caused by iBooks. Go figure. After turning off iBooks, then turning on, it was fixed.

How do I view full websites on iPad?

My wife has an iPad and she frequently gets caught up trying to see full websites and it requires scrolling to the bottom.

I have an iPhone and I usually get past that page, but when I click "load" it loads another half page of the same thing. I am wondering if there is a way to get full access to all the pages on the websites or if anyone knows of a browser that allows you to do that?

It's not as easy as that. The fact is the iPad was designed for reading magazines, the like, and not "surfing the web". I suggest that if you want a small website screen, you simply use your iPhone. I don't think that anyone here has a large problem with that though.

We also love iPhones so much, even the iPad is still less than ideal for what we actually use them for - consuming media. We do love iPads though.

I'm curious to know what you use it for in the first place. Personally, I don't have any problems viewing the full screen view. The reason I ask is because it's hard to explain but its the same effect as when viewing a website through the iPhone browser. When viewing a website, when you scroll down to the bottom of the screen, you'll hit a page where the top part scrolls with you but the bottom part stays the same. The top part still shows the previous page, whereas the bottom part stays the same as it was when you began scrolling.

When you scroll through the links on the top of the iPad browser, those links also stay in the same position and are not affected by scrolling. For example: If you want to google.com from within the app, click the link, and the app will open google. While the top portion of the page changes and loads in, the bottom stays the same and continues to scroll down in the original position without updating (in other words, the same behaviour as on the iPhone.)

That's all I can tell you, maybe someone else can confirm or not.

How do you make a web page full screen on iPad?

If you're like me, you probably use an iPad to read web pages on your couch while lying down, so this is the only way you'll ever need it.

I've written about web page "invisible" mode before, but there was one thing I missed: how do I make a web page full screen? Not the window, not even the entire browser, but just the whole content of the page.

For some time now I've been using Apple's "Page Visibility API" (originally referred to as Apple Web Site Clipping) on any web pages that I want to be visible as plain text only. It works great, and you can find information about it here. But it requires some additional software support that only Safari on iOS provides. On OS X you'll need the latest version of Safari, but on iOS you only need to launch Safari on your iOS device and then go to a web page, and "Page Visibility API" will be turned on automatically.

Note: for privacy reasons, the "Page Visibility API" requires iOS 5 and Safari 5, or later. For years, web designers have complained about the lack of in-page scrollbars on mobile web pages. The content should tell you where it's going.

Unfortunately, the only real solution is to turn off these scroll bars through design, but this makes it hard to access certain elements on the page. To remedy this dilemma, I created something known as "the mobile-optimized web."

To help others create "mobile optimized web pages" they use some of their CSS, and then there are also two Javascript libraries: the Scroll Bar Remover JavaScript by Scott Kellum, and the Mobile-Optimized Webby Jason Grigsby. Both of these scripts were originally written with one major goal: "mobile optimized web," meaning, simply put, making sure that the scrolling behavior on a webpage stays smooth and accessible while in any position within the viewport.

How do I get my iPad back to full page?

Hi, I used this site to remove my home screen icon for the first time.

Now when I turn on my iPad, the home screen is not full page. How do I get my home screen back to full page and use my apps again?

All of my apps are still there and I can use them but how do I get the home screen to display it fully again. The rest of the screen is the same as it was before. It shows my apps and then it says 'Tap to go home' on the bottom.

Thank you so much for any help! You don't see the apps on the home screen because your custom icons are gone. Use the app My Settings to delete those icons. And also go to the Home Screen in your settings. Turn off "Use custom icons". You should have a home screen full page again.

Thanks very much for the help! This is what I have done and the home screen is now a full page again! However, I now have a problem. It seems that the font size for the text is too big for my reading glasses! There is no way to change the font size in the settings and therefore there is nothing I can do to fix this. It's still a lot smaller than I would like.

Thanks again! I don't understand what you mean about the font size.
