Does T pring know Spock is half human?
Spock's been gone so long.
"
"The doctor was here earlier," said Troi.e. "He told me that he'd spoken with him."
"Perhaps they had a private conversation," said Riker. "You know how the Vulcans can be. I'm sure if he has any questions, he'll let you know."
She sighed and gave him a wry smile. "I don't know why I bother."
Riker felt a twinge of guilt. "It's just a game, Commander."
She looked at him and seemed to read his mind. "Not for you, Number One." She stood up and brushed the seat back as she rose to her feet. "I hope you have some good news for me when we get back."
Riker knew Troi was referring to T pring, the latest attempt at finding any sign of Spock. He hoped that he had some new information to share. Riker sat in the copilot's seat beside her.
"How are you feeling?" she asked. "Much better," said Riker. "Now that the Vulcan isn't here, I feel like myself again."
"Good. You're a sick man." She leaned back and stared out at the stars beyond the bridge windows. "I wish we knew what was going on with him."
Riker nodded, trying to come up with a plausible explanation for T pring's visit. "The way he looked when he came through the door, he must have gotten news that Spock is missing."
"It's hard to believe that he came all the way to Earth just to tell us that," said Troi.e. "It makes sense," said Riker. "Why else would he come? He wouldn't have driven all this way just to tell us that Spock had disappeared. He probably had something else in mind."
"I agree, Number One," said Troi.e. "But we need to talk to him. Find out exactly what it is he wants."
Riker had been thinking the same thing. As soon as the captain was off duty, he intended to go to Troi's quarters and take her aside for a serious talk.
Why did Spock and T pring break up?
One of the key moments in The Wrath of Khan is when Captain Kirk is trapped in a chamber full of Khan, who has taken over his body and mind.
In this episode, the two make peace with the loss of their friendship.
Spock: You will not leave the chamber. You are not fit to command the Enterprise. The man you think is James Tiberius Kirk is instead an alien lifeform bent on destroying me. You are suffering from transporter syncope. All will be well if you cooperate.
But he doesn't. T pring: I will cooperate no longer. What does all this mean for the two? Does T pring just kill Spock because Kirk is in no position to command? Does he just go on an adventure through time and space without the conniving Sulu to tell him what to do? Or maybe he is still going to be around to command the ship, just not on the Enterprise anymore? In the episode it seems pretty clear that it was T'Pol's orders. But I'm surprised neither of them went further than "We won't go outside the ship." They seemed to have a bit of respect for each other at the end. There was no hint of Spock being the one going off on a solo quest. So, I believe they both got to know each other in some other ways than through Kirk/Kirk. Probably because of their relationship to the Vulcans, who have a somewhat cooler relationship with humans (and other species) than Spock and Kirk.
There were plenty of hints in the show that it wasn't a matter of Khan being the best man for the job, though. When he first took control of the ship, after a battle on the planet where the Romulans had taken control of their own ship, he made a speech about how much he cared for James Kirk (who was, for the first time since his birth, missing from the ship). Then, T'Pol tells him she would never desert her post while he's gone, even in case he turns out to be no good. Finally, Spock offers to hold down the fort until he returns. He could have just as easily chosen another Vulcan if he couldn't think of anything else to do.
Did Spock marry T pring?
No.
The boy had to be at least eight years old to have thought of something, even something as banal as a princess marrying an ogre.
Don't you know? Vulcans never marry, not on this planet anyway. Really? A light seemed to have dawned on the boy's face. Why is that? Uhura looked over at the Vulcan's image. What are you doing? I am checking on their medical status. The doctor needs my help in assessing his injuries. Is there anything the doctor can do for you? Thank you, No. But we may need a hand here.
The boy began making his way down to them. I don't think we need your help, Uhura replied. Besides, I hear you're not supposed to make fun of the Vulcanoids.
How come? They claim we're not allowed to say their name. Not even when they don't even know what it is. You know, she said, looking at the others, in case they decide to try and eat us.
Do they eat you? Uh, no. Not usually. But we do eat lots of food from their planet. If they find out, they might try to trick us into thinking it's food so we'd never notice they weren't eating us. That would be bad.
What if you don't eat enough of their food? We'd die. Can't you eat anything? The only other way would be to eat each other, which we don't usually do. It's not very nice.
The boy grinned. You could do worse.
