Who was the most popular Vulcan?

This may seem like a silly question, but the character Spock has had a long history as the most popular Vulcan of all Vulcans.

There have been many who are more popular in general and even more successful in their careers. When you consider the number of people that have come up after the original Star Trek films, they may well be the most popular or most famous Vulcan of all time! It is for this reason that I have asked you what you think was the most popular Vulcan.

To begin, we first have to define what we mean by "most popular." I'm going to take a few of your answers and post them as a poll. As long as one answer receives 50% or more of the votes it will stay in the running. The more popular an individual is the longer they stay on the list. We will keep the listing as accurate as possible, so if we get a lot of votes for someone but the results aren't close enough to the next name, we'll remove him from the list. It should also be pointed out that this is not a popularity contest, just one Vulcan against another. If the vote is tied one will go up again until it's reached the 50% limit. This allows us to look at trends as they come up. This list will be a bit of fun and I hope you enjoy reading about all these interesting Vulcans! Here goes:

Spock was very popular in high school, when kids wanted to emulate Spock. I agree with you 100%. Spock was very popular in high school.as well as college, where the cool kids in the class were usually a lot smarter than me.

My wife (who was a "hot" young thing back then) used to tell all her friends that Spock (her favorite) was the sexiest Vulcan she had ever seen. She and Spock must have talked way too much! Yes, Spock as a High School student was very popular. And to this day, every teenage girl likes him. Spock was popular because he was very smart and always right. We also had a lot of kids who wanted to be smart like him - some more than others.

You really hit it on the head here, David - Spock was very popular.

What do you say with the Vulcan salute?

It's not a question of being stupid but being stupidly honest.
