One of the many reasons you might want to use an IP Proxy to bypass restrictions of your ISPs plan is the inability to port forward on router-based security appliances. One premium service for this very use is ProxyServer. It uses a remote server to accept and act as your connection to the internet for a series of port forwarding. You don't want to buy a subscription to do this it's a limited resource.

If you have a number of clients who need to share free network connectivity at home, you can use a hardware-based router with a built-in Wi-Fi range extender. But to share the main bottleneck (internet access) between Wi-Fi clients, you can use one of the wide-range Wi-Fi extenders that plugs into it. Most routers have an option to forward ports for use by external devices; the external device just needs to have the right port redirected, and then the smooth IP-based networking provides all the speed and security of that port. To provide easy, reliable and secure access to local devices such as smart phones, the wireless repeater also provides a LAN port, more ports, and a backup 3G antenna if a Wi-Fi device runs out of battery power.

How do I fix Netflix proxy detected in Surfshark?

I recently installed Surfshark on my home network to provide a better youtube experience. I was able to do this by using my school's proxy server, which is transparent to Surfshark and gives me the result I'm looking for.

I am having trouble with Netflix though. Since I'm not using a school computer, I have to go to the Netflix website to set up a proxy. When I enter my school's proxy settings into Netflix, it tells me that I'm missing a proxy server.

I've tried searching for any proxy servers listed on the Netflix website and have been unsuccessful. I've also tried entering in my school's proxy IP address, but Netflix tells me that it is invalid. I am a registered user of the school proxy server, and my school's proxy server is listed in the "Use Proxy Server" box.

I've tried looking for any Netflix proxy servers on the internet, but all I can find are Surfshark proxies. How do I fix this? Or, if there is no way to fix this, how can I tell if my proxy settings are working? Netflix is, by nature, a "client" based technology. As such, it can't really tell whether or not your proxy server is working.

Fortunately, one thing you can try is to look at the HTTP requests that Netflix makes. If you enable logging in your Surfshark configuration, you can monitor all of the HTTP requests that Netflix makes, and determine if your proxy is working.

Does Netflix work with Surfshark?

In the past few months we have had a few calls with people with Netflix problems, which have resulted in some great help. However, we have also had a few people with Surfshark problems and we don't have a lot of info.

Netflix support is pretty good and they have a very good support team, but it can take a while for a reply, and sometimes, they just won't reply at all, which is a real problem if you need Netflix right away. I have had some luck with contacting Netflix support through the email address support@netflix.com, but I have also had a few problems with that. Sometimes it takes two days to get a reply, but I think it's a pretty good chance to get a reply, but you need to be persistent.

I have a new issue which has popped up since the last time I posted, which is that the Netflix DNS is being set to 192.168.104 (our home network DNS) instead of the one the TV is using.

I am unable to connect to Netflix over a VPN either, which is not surprising, but I can't use the Surfshark DNS either. I am running Windows 10, on an ASUS router, using the Asus ExpressVPN config, and using OpenVPN and Surfshark to connect to the VPN and the Netflix DNS. I have also tried setting up the TV to use the VPN but it doesn't seem to work, it's either slow, or I get a connection error, or it's just not connected to the VPN. Any advice is appreciated. You can try opening an Internet Explorer or Firefox window and go to the address 192.104, and then click the settings button and select the DNS tab.

What DNS are you using on the computer? If you're using the ISP DNS server, you need to configure the router to use the router's DNS. If you're using the router's DNS server, it must be configured to work with the VPN. If it's not configured to work with the VPN, you will not be able to use the VPN.
