Why does Amazon Prime not work with a VPN?
When I tried to run the Amazon app on my iPhone through a VPN, it did not work, but Amazon is still working when I go directly on the internet.
Does anyone know why? I think it may be an Apple iOS issue because I have had a problem before (with Skype) that was related to IP address issues and not being able to connect to Amazon after connecting through a VPN, but I am not sure.
I am using iOS 8.1.2 and iPhone 5s
I tried looking at the logs through the network icon, but was not able to see anything that might be causing the issue. I would greatly appreciate any assistance anyone has to offer. Thank you Hey there. It's my first day of work at Amazon. I have been working with the Mac App, so, I can help you. I will try to answer as many of your questions as I can. Have fun with Prime!
The reason it doesn't work while behind a VPN on a device running iOS 8.1 is because you are connected with a LAN address, that does not have any Internet access. The service has no way of knowing where the end-user device is.
If you try to create an account for your Prime subscription on another device then, you will be able to download apps/movies/etc. Without a VPN since you have access to an Internet connection. A valid reason for this would be if you are in a country like China and Amazon doesn't want you accessing their service without going through their official system. So, for example, you could create an Amazon account, but you can't buy things on Amazon unless you can connect via Amazon.
Regarding your questions about VPN: I will give you one specific tip as far as I know you could configure the VPN using an iOS device. To do so, you need to: Open an app from the VPN app selection. I think it's called "open with", not sure though.- When the VPN app launches, it should detect that you are connected. Just make sure that there is no error message. You can also use a VPN client such as Hamachi for your OS X device.- At the top of the VPN app, there should be a button with the name "Settings". Click on that button. A window will open with many options.
Which VPNs work on Amazon Prime?
We live in a world where our privacy is being violated and most people have no idea of the information that is being collected from them.
Even though the internet has come a long way, it is still not safe to browse without using VPN.
I've always believed that a VPN is essential for people who live in countries where their internet service provider (ISP) are trying to sell their personal data to advertisers and government agencies. Even though I use a VPN when I need to access Netflix or BBC iPlayer, I don't use one for browsing the web. However, many people tell me that using a VPN for browsing can cause problems with Amazon Prime. Is there a way to get Amazon Prime working with a VPN? Amazon Prime is a great service that allows you to subscribe to a monthly fee and receive free two-day shipping on most of their products. It's a great deal if you use your subscription for things that you want to buy in bulk like clothes and kitchen items.
The only problem with Amazon Prime is that if you try to use it while connected to a VPN, you might not be able to complete your purchase. The issue with using a VPN when you're using Amazon Prime is that if you download a new product while you're connected to a VPN, Amazon will put it on hold until you disconnect from your VPN. While this might seem like a good thing, it can cause problems if you're trying to buy something from Amazon Prime. For example, if you're using a VPN to watch Netflix, you might be tempted to click on the 'add to basket' button. However, you can't because the item hasn't downloaded yet.
If you try to add the item to your basket, you will be informed that the item isn't available and you will have to wait until you disconnect from your VPN. This can be a real hassle because you won't be able to complete your purchase. It's not as bad when you use a VPN to watch live TV or play online games. However, it can cause problems when you use Amazon Prime to buy stuff. So, is there a way to get Amazon Prime working with a VPN?
