What is the difference between a drawing tablet and a graphic tablet?

Which tablet is best for graphic design?

I would like to start learning vector drawing in MSWord and Illustrator because that's basically what I would be doing most of the time and I'm on the go every day.

I am a bit worried about buying a tablet for this job however which one would best for me. Also, I do not want to buy anything yet as I'd like to try getting hold of the programs on the computer first. So maybe you could recommend somewhere I could have a go at free?

In terms of speed I would recommend a Windows or MAC tablet using Wacom. The only thing for Linux is that it doesn't support palm rejection.

For the apps the choice is up to you. In terms of free to get hold of, there are so many sites for that. But if you just want to have a go to get an idea of whether you need to invest then I'd advise that, the program may even work out of the box on the OS you're on. If that's the case then I'd suggest trying a VM which should allow you to see any issues you come across.

Finally, there are also online sites where you can have a go on the software before hand. This will also give you some idea if the app works for you or not.

I would also look into having the tablet and stylus in your car or in your bag always, these often mean that the tablet or stylus you have isn't compatible with the drivers for the current device you're on, so don't be surprised if your tablet starts locking up (loses input) the next time you start up.

What graphic tablet is best?

Hello, I am new to graphic design.

I want to know what is the best graphic tablet for me? I am thinking of getting one but I don't know which one to get.

I don't have a job at the moment and my goal is to get a job in graphic design. So I have to get something that will help me to improve as a graphic designer. I am more interested in a Wacom Intuos Pro so that I can work on my own designs as much as possible.

I also like the idea of having a stylus because it is easy to draw with. The two I am considering are the Intuos Pro and the Cintiq Pro. I have read many reviews about both. From my understanding the only difference between the two is the color screen of the Cintiq and the Wacom has a black screen.

So, if you were me, which one do you think would better? I would like some input from you guys. Thanks! I have been in graphic design since 2025. I have used a lot of different graphic tablets. I currently use a Wacom Intuos Pro. I am in love with it. I use it on a daily basis. It is portable, light, affordable, and has a stylus. It is the best tablet I have ever used. I recommend it to everyone.

I would buy the Cintiq if I was going to start a business right now. It is expensive, but you get what you pay for. The quality of the screen, the weight, and the weight of the whole thing is fantastic. You can also use it as a desktop replacement. You can also use it in multiple positions. I would recommend it to anyone.

A bit off topic, but I am still a student so I still use a Wacom tablet. I use a Cintiq for my assignments. They are very different. I prefer the Cintiq. I can use it on my lap, on my table, on my bed, and everywhere else. I can also watch videos while drawing and it is the only tablet I can use without a stand. I would recommend the Cintiq.

I am not a graphic designer but I have a Cintiq. I have used a Wacom tablet before.
