How can I watch MLB.TV for free?
How do I get around that?
Is there some way to get a special code, a promo code, or something to make it free? Any help would be appreciated.
@Mason1 thanks for the suggestion. I think I might give that a try when I get back home on Thursday, but like you said, the only way to know for sure is to just try it out. Thanks again!
I have already tried the option above as suggested by Mason1, but I am not being successful so far. I know that I can use an internet-enabled TV, such as a Roku (which I have) or Apple TV (but I don't have one yet). I also use a Chromecast. (The Chromecast doesn't connect to an internet connection, but rather connects to Wi-Fi.) However, with those other options, I still can't find the HD/Playoff streaming channels.
I also tried the MLB Extra Innings, but apparently I need to have the MLB.TV application on my PS3 in order to see any information about the channel. So I guess that's a negative.
I just want to know if I can watch the Playoffs in HD without having to pay anything or downloading anything. I was hoping for something more simple than that.
I haven't tried it yet, but I plan on trying it soon. I also have a Roku, so I will try and find the HD/Playoffs show on my Roku and report back. I will let you know if I get it to work, and how it worked.
@Mason1: Thanks for all the advice. Let me know what you find out on your Roku. I'm starting to wonder if the only way to watch the MLB playoffs is on a web browser. I just hope the internet connection stays up this year
Yeah, I tried all that stuff, but that didn't work. I even tried turning on a second monitor with an Internet connected TV and got the same result.
Is MLB.TV free with Amazon Prime?
I recently signed up for the Amazon Prime program, which offers a few perks, including access to Amazon's streaming TV service (which I have not yet used). I was curious about a few things, like whether I could use the Prime services on my Roku player, so I Googled and found a page from Google that stated MLB.TV subscribers had access to the Amazon service as well, so I took a chance and signed up. I've had the Prime membership since April and have not yet received my login information or been able to connect on the Amazon service. Is it still free? How do I go about getting the login information and connecting to the service?
Re: MLB.TV free with Amazon Prime? Is MLB. Not sure about all that, but there was an article on our main ESPN page back in April which talked about the cost of the new MLB.TV subscription being free with Amazon Prime. I don't have Amazon Prime, so I'm not sure I can get that part of it, but if someone with Prime could clarify that would be greatly appreciated. I'm assuming it's only the new subscription you can get with Amazon Prime.
Also, do you need to link your Xbox live account to use MLB. I haven't tried this yet and we don't have Amazon Prime in our household, but I don't know how linked accounts work.

Don't worry about trying the subscription; there's plenty of baseball to watch that doesn't require MLB.TV access. We'd be glad to chat further if you have questions.
For me, it was easy to figure out how to get the Amazon service.
How much is an MLB.TV subscription?
MLB.
TV subscription plans for baseball fans can vary depending on their viewing preferences, as they are generally broken down into three types: a one-year plan, a three-month plan, and a half-year plan. The base plan of MLB.95), with varying number of teams covered.
As part of this deal, you also get the ESPN app on Apple TV. This is great because it allows you to easily watch the ESPN channels while keeping the volume low enough to hear what's happening on the field without disturbing the television. It's the only way to watch your favorite ESPN shows such as SportsCenter, Pardon the Interruption, 30 for 30, and Outside the Lines from your couch.
What if I am already an MLB.TV subscriber? If you're already a member of MLB.TV, the process of upgrading to the Apple TV will be seamless. Simply log in, sign up for the Apple TV package, and you're done. If you have a different provider, however, you will need to cancel the service that you have and will need to set up a new account.
Do I get any discounts? Yes. In addition to MLB.TV at a low cost, you will get MLB.com for free for 60 days. That means you will be able to watch live coverage of your team, including pre-game and post-game shows, player interviews, and live stats. This is great for those who are avid followers of their favorite team, and it is sure to provide a lot of information for those of you who like to read articles and watch videos.
What is the difference between the two types of plans? The main difference between the one-year and three-month plan is that the three-month plan does not include a subscription to MLB.com, which can be accessed from any of the devices connected to the Apple TV. It is much easier to keep up with your team without having to remember to switch devices and connect to MLB.
Does MLB.TV include MLB Network?
I have a subscription to MLB.
TV and am wondering if I can view the MLB Network on it? If it does, how do I get it? I've called and asked but no one seems to know. Thanks for any help you can give.
The MLB Network has been included on the MLB.TV service since day 1. In addition, MLB Network is also available on several of the devices that MLB.TV is available on (iPad, Apple TV, and Roku).
A couple of months ago, we released a new app for MLB.TV that will allow users to access MLB Network in HD, along with the ability to set up watch lists, schedules, etc. You can download the app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch by clicking here.
If you are able to access the MLB Network on your MLB.TV service, please let us know!TV is available on (iPad, Apple TV, and Roku).
Thanks. J.
Thanks J. Well I guess I don't understand the question: You have a subscription to MLB.TV and are wondering if you can watch the MLB Network on it? If so, how? No, I'm asking if I can get the MLB Network on MLB. This is what I want to know as well, and can't find answer. The MLB.TV app says I can watch the MLB Network on my iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.
