Can an iPad be locked remotely?
If not, then any app you can install remotely on an iPad would be completely unusable (unless someone were to pick the locks with a pick-set). Of course, if you can install remote apps via iCloud on your device and control them using Apple's Remote app (for the iPhone) or the new Apple TV app (for the Apple TV) then that could be a viable solution if it wasn't too fussy for your own tastes.
It looks like it cannot be locked. See the answer by "Tiger".
Can I change my Apple passcode from another device?
Yes.
If you have not done so already, you can change your Apple passcode from another device using the "Forgot my Apple ID password?" link on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. If you have an older Apple device (eg Mac, or iMac), you can change your passcode from a computer.
If you are a registered developer you can reset the passcode using the Apple ID password reset function. This is a process to access your account and allow you to change the password. You can access this from iTunes on your computer.
To reset your Apple ID password: Log in to iTunes using your current password. Click your account name at the top of the page. Click Account Information. Select Passwords and Accounts. Click 'Forgot Apple ID password' and follow the instructions. You may be asked to enter a 6 digit code or your email address to verify that you are a registered developer. You can also reset your Apple ID passcode from within the iOS app itself if you have forgotten it. Simply go to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode, tap on Passcode Lock and then choose 'Forgot Apple ID Password'.
I've forgotten my passcode, what do I do? If you have forgotten your passcode, you can use the method below to access your account and change your password. You will need to log in to iTunes and access your Apple ID on the web. If you don't have a web browser installed on your device, you can use Safari or Chrome on an iOS device or iPad, or Internet Explorer on a Windows or Mac computer.
Click 'Forgot Apple ID Password' and follow the instructions. When you've completed this, you can change your passcode by going to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode and entering your new passcode. I've lost my iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, what do I do? If you have lost your device or have had it stolen, it's important to know how to delete your Apple account. The steps below can help you to recover your account or remove your account from an iOS device or Mac computer.
Can I change passcode remotely?
I need a remote solution to change the passcode to a device without physical access.
As you know, for Android devices it's easy: adb shell input keyevent KEYCODEMENUKEY. For iOS I used this: So far, no luck. I've tried to use the onKeyDown() method of the Activity and ActivityWindow. The event fires but after some time (after I receive the first screen) the keyboard doesn't pop up and nothing happens.
Is there any way to solve this? Thanks. If the Android device you are talking about is locked with a password, then you need a custom PIN code that uses the number pad for its input. On the other hand, if it's not locked or you can see the text on the screen, then just use the traditional passcode input method.
