What is better than IPVanish?

Is IPVanish worth getting?

Reviewed by. Nate (03/25/2013). I tried both IPVanish and Private Internet Access for a couple months, and am now back to using IPVanish again. The reason I went back was because of the great support I received when I called their customer service.

For a VPN company, I was very impressed with the quality of their support staff. IPVanish does have some downsides, but I think the cost is justified. I think IPVanish is a great choice for people who don't want to mess around with setting up their own VPN server. You have to have a US IP address to use the service.99/month.

I recommend them. Kris (02/13/2013). I have been using IPVanish for several months now. It's an easy VPN service to use, and I find it works well for my needs.

The only downside is that I have to have an IP address in the United States. So if you're outside the US, be aware that you can't access any of the content you want with this service. But if you're in the US, and you want to use this service, it's an excellent alternative to using a VPN on your home network.

Drake (01/21/2013). I've been using IPVanish for a little over a month, and so far I'm very happy with it. I've been using the service for a number of reasons. I've always been a little leery of using a VPN from a company I have never used before. But I decided to try this one because some of my friends recommended it, and they know I like to have a lot of server locations, so they recommended this one.

It's easy to use, and it works very well. There are a few things I wish were different with this service. One of them is that they don't really have a way to record your IP address. So it is impossible to know what your IP address is. But that's not really a big deal for me, since I'm not using their service primarily for privacy.

They don't actually let you use a non-US based IP address.

Is IPVanish good for streaming?

I am looking for a new VPN for my HTPC. I use a WD TV Live which has a decent CPU and I want to be able to stream content from my NAS or PC.

I am looking at the following: Ipvanish. IPVanish is great for streaming content to mobile devices. For example, I stream to my iPad from my HTPC using the HLS protocol, and it works great. I can also stream music to my iPad and it works great.

But I can't seem to figure out how to use IPVanish to stream from my HTPC. I have tried using IPVanish on my HTPC, and it works for the first minute or so of streaming content, but then it slows to a crawl and it freezes. I have tried streaming from my NAS, and it works great, but I can't stream to my WD TV Live.

Can IPVanish stream content from my HTPC? If so, how? Thank you for any help you can offer. Re: IPVanish good for streaming? I have used IPVanish on a HTPC, and it works great. I stream to my iPad, and it works great.

But I can't seem to figure out how to use IPVanish to stream to my WD TV Live. I do not have an HTPC. My HTPC is a laptop.

I have a WD TV Live. My HTPC is running Windows 7.

Yes, it is possible to stream from a laptop to a HTPC. I have done it.
