How do I get a US proxy?
I already have an account with the USA Netflix.
I'm pretty sure you can get a US IP there by switching your country to the US, but it's not exactly the same thing. Anyone who knows?
As for Netflix-MGM getting out of order. Originally Posted by Bored. They said I could start over again, and it would be no problem. Then we ordered them all, and got the disc's. Then "The Last Samurai", and it did it!
So maybe the "reset" thing is what they told me about in my region. If so, that's good news. As far as Netflix or USA, I haven't yet figured out how to set my region (as I don't know which country I'm in). Anyone who has, post here so we can learn.
Edit: Well, I found something on Netflix about changing my country, but what I want is still unclear. Open up you browser, type in www.netflix.com
Select the Region you are currently in from the drop down list. On the next page find the DVD icon, click on it to bring up the list of DVD's that you own. Click on the DVD image in the list, this will take you to a page where you can choose the DVD. Now click Change/Update (I'm guessing). Now you should be in a new window where you can change the Country from all of Europe to US, and vice-versa. After you've selected your Region, select one of the DVD's you own, then go back to the main page and you should be able to play the DVD. If you ever visit our forums, please say hello. The US proxy server (also known as reverse proxy server or reverse IP proxy server) is the software that acts as a middleman to another internet application by passing on the requests to another server and in return, receives the responses from that application. A common use for the proxy server is the anonymization of the web traffic between an application server and the Internet.
The Proxy Server can be configured with a predefined list of domains that you want to be forwarded to specific websites, which is much easier than manually maintaining multiple server-level forwarding rules. By the way, you can also set multiple proxy servers in a machine (by using one instance of a proxy service) so that you can switch to different servers depending on the content.
Proxy Server vs. Application Server A proxy server is similar to an application server but have a major difference: the applications running on the proxy server can be easily exposed to the public internet while the apps on the application server requires much more configurations to access the public internet. While a proxy server is only necessary when a local network needs to be isolated from the public internet such as for security reasons, an application server needs to access the internet for updates or to perform some actions related to the public internet (like analytics). In this post, we will focus on the setup of a proxy server that will be used by the VPS to be exposed to the public internet. If you would like to learn more about application servers, you can read my article on them. Before you start. It is recommended to have root-level permissions (sudo and sudoers) on the server if you wish to edit your /etc/sudoers. As mentioned before, if you are using a VirtualBox or Hyper-V virtual machine, you can enable the user interface (GUI) to perform administrative tasks like mounting ISO files without root-level permissions. This would disable the firewall and open up the port 80 and 8080 for the administrator user.
Are proxies illegal in the US?
Yes.
According to the Copyright Act, "the owner of copyright has the exclusive right of reproduction", though if you are going to reproduce a person's work without their permission you're going to have to pay them for it.
Is it illegal to use a proxy to change an image? Yes, because proxies are not protected by copyright law. However, you can still get yourself in trouble by getting someone else to host your proxy.
So how can I use proxies to upload my personal images if I don't have a legal internet connection at home? I'd love to give a lecture to say "don't copy and paste the information" but we can't really do that. All we can say is, be careful of where you host your web pages.
To summarize: it's illegal to use proxies to upload copyrighted images without permission. But if they're illegal then what is this website called "Warez". Do I need permission from all the authors of music in my own personal collection? I think you've got a misunderstanding there. There's no site called "Warez" . That's just what the people who made this website wanted to call it. Warez is a slang term meaning "Illegal software" .
And your point is? Just because a website called "Warez" does something illegal that doesn't make every other website that does that illegal too. If you're worried that the copyright one piece of music you found on the Internet is infringed, look at the author of the piece and see if you find their contact info. If you do, follow the guidelines to report any copyright violations.
In addition, if you want to share your collection, there's not much difference between the legality of sending music to your friends and legally downloading it. Warez is very likely the legal name of the website in question, however due to a misunderstanding (or perhaps even willful ignorance) of the term Warez, the term is often used incorrectly (or perhaps inappropriately). The word Warez is generally associated with software which is shared through peer to peer networks and has nothing to do with piracy. So technically speaking it's not Warez, as you claim, it's illegal activity. Not sure if this was the intended implication, but it's important to know.
