How do I turn on less secure app access in Gmail 2023?

Is less secure app access no longer available in Gmail?

I have an Android application that uses Google Play Services for sending email.

I've noticed in Gmail that the link for accessing the "less secure app access" page is no longer available. This is a very important security feature and it should be enabled by default, not hidden away in some obscure section of a Gmail user's interface. It is available on iOS and Windows Phone, so why is it missing from Android?

This is no longer available in the desktop version of gmail. According to this thread, they have a security issue with that feature. It appears that Google has removed the "less secure app access" option from the mobile version of Gmail, but it is still available in the desktop version. I believe the "less secure app access" option is being disabled because of the discovery of the Google Play Services API key that was used by the app. Google has not yet fixed the issue, but they have confirmed that it will be fixed soon.

How do I turn on allow less secure apps in Gmail?

I know how to set Gmail account settings but what settings do I need to change for an iPad mini running the latest version of iOS? The only option for email that I have is "Allow less secure apps" on both the iPad Mini and the computer I use to access the mail. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I'm on Android and there's an app called "less secure apps" in the play store that allows a user to allow any app they want to use. You'll have to find that app and download it. The android browser won't allow the app to be installed without an "install" button on it.
