What's on Disney Plus USA but not UK?

I signed up for Disney Plus last month.

99 per month but I haven't received a receipt yet. I'm not sure why it has taken that long.

Has anyone out there had the "Oh boy! we've found so much more to watch!" moment? I read from some other forum that the UK version is not as large as the US version, hence all the UK viewers aren't getting all the content on the service. If you were lucky enough to get something like this, what's missing? I don't know if it makes any difference but I live in Scotland and this month isn't a part of the service. It may because it's the 'Christmas' update but I can only speculate. Perhaps it's just the way they deal with certain territories at this time of year.

If it makes any difference, my wife and I both use the account. I'm looking forward to watching more than 20 new Marvel shows. Edit - It's an option at the checkout page. Just choose your location. Not the best option but at least it lets you know.

Thanks. Yeah, I figured that would be it. But now when I go back and check the box to indicate my order is for the UK rather than the US, it's already been changed. I thought I could have marked myself a UK customer before I knew it wasn't.

It could be they've changed it during the Christmas period (though it would be nice to have been notified so I could have saved my work and made my selections without worrying), or maybe it will all work out, it's just waiting to get a response at the moment. Either way, at least they're providing the option for the time being.

A Marvel show was the big one for me, the first one is going to be Luke Cage which will appear over the next few weeks. If you are interested, here is a link to some info about it.

I'm just curious to know about the UK. My understanding is that most of the content has been available (although maybe not all - like in Spain) and it's all about the launch.

Is Disney+ different in the USA?

I am currently living in the UK but my family lives in Orlando, Florida, and Disney has the largest presence there.

It is very clear that the culture of Disney in the US is not the same as in the UK, for example theme parks seem to be much bigger, in particular at the Magic Kingdom, and it is clear that the US is a family holiday destination whereas we tend to only holiday during school holidays, and go on a holiday with my partner. It is also clear that the culture of Disney in the US is very different. My question is: what are the cultural differences in the US? Why do I feel so out of place?

Disney parks are a lot bigger, especially in Florida. They have more rides and attractions and the whole park design is very much American (in your analogy, more like the US version than the UK version).

The food at disney world is generally good, although some elements of it are not the best quality that you can get in the UK. I understand that is the opposite of what you are used to, but it's the norm in America. The character meals that cost extra are good quality, and pretty much any buffet will have at least a few choices worth eating.

The shops are much better quality. I have no idea why this is. You would think that, in a country where there are thousands of different stores, they'd have more of everything! They also have things like Starbucks cafes, which are everywhere in Europe, but are rarer in America.

Disney resorts have a very, very different culture from the UK resorts. For example, the lounges are much more relaxed. You might find it strange to go to a resort where you have to wait ages for an elevator because you only have two choices of time slot in the room. Also, they charge for everything!

I think you will also find that some of the characters are less friendly and have fewer lines in the US. I know that the food is great in all disney world locations. And in fact my parents are going to visit this year and I have booked them a reservation at one of the all you can eat restaurants so they can have a taste of the American experience.

I've never been to an american Disney resort, so I really don't know how things are there.
