What is the cheapest time of the year to go to an all-inclusive resort?
I understand that prices of all-inclusive resorts are highest in August, but is it possible to book an all-inclusive resort in May (May 10th-June 11th)? Or any other time of the year when prices are less? We are going this August and I think it will be pretty hot and humid, so I'm curious if it will be a problem to go. Also, how do they keep the pool open even in the high heat of summer? "The main thing we have found with staying at an all inclusive resort is that the food is mediocre and that nothing compares to eating in restaurants." Do you have any idea of how much food costs in an All Inclusive? That's something that I'd like to know as well. And as for the high humidity, they've got these things called air-conditioners, that work more or less, I guess, depending on how much sun is out, but not exactly like fans. We stayed at Grand Beach last June, and it was super HOT. We're not planning to go in August (July & August can be extremely hot). However, there's not much to do in Gran Canaria other than eat and swim, so maybe we'll go in July. It was cool & breezy there, though.
I think I read somewhere that the lower costs in December/January come from people spending more money to buy gifts, spend Christmas, etc., and then the prices for the entire year drop from that point on because people are not spending as much.

If your resort has a private beach, you might be able to ask them if they have a pool for guests at other times of the year (eg September to October).
