Why does ExpressVPN keep blocking my internet?
ExpressVPN keep blocking my internet.
When I'm not at my home computer, it won't allow me to use the internet through ExpressVPN. It does this on my mobile phone as well. My computer is connected to the internet through my smartphone.
I know that I'm connected to the internet, as my home phone automatically connects me with a static IP address. I even have a connection via wifi, through my computer and my cellphone.
I was able to do all this before I started using ExpressVPN. Why can't I do any of that now? It works perfectly fine for about 24 hours. Then, all of a sudden it just blocks the internet.
After some googling, it looks like some routers have an automatic setting for blocking VPN. Is there anything I can do to get rid of that so I can continue using my VPN for more than 24 hours? Do you remember if you ever set the router to the default configuration? That can have a lot to do with it. Some Routers also only allow you to connect to certain IP's. If they are blocked they wont allow you in.
I would check the manual, to make sure its not blocking it. Is there any way that you could temporarily change your IP address? Or a way to completely turn off your wireless settings? Or even a way to turn off your VPN completely. That way your router might not think that you have turned it on if your not really using it. But you still want to keep it.
If you cant turn off your VPN from your router because you cant uncheck the box or you cant see it on the screen. Turn off your Wifi on your computer to the point that you can still get on your IP.
Then turn your Wifi back on, once that is done. Check your DNS and IP settings in your router, and try using your VPN again.
If you still have trouble after all that. Go into your computer setup and disable any kind of firewall software you might have on your computer. I know some routers and computers allow you to completely turn them off. But there should be a way to remove any firewalls on your computer.

How to unblock internet ExpressVPN?
The first thing you'll need to do is download a VPN client on both your smartphone or laptop. If you're looking for a superuser-friendly app for Android users then ExpressVPN App is for you. I like TunnelBear, as it has a great interface and doesn't take too much space. However, it can be a bit tricky to make work on most phones, so if you're stuck for an alternative then I'd suggest using OpenVPN Connect.
ExpressVPN is still in its infancy (it came into being late 2017), but it's already one of the most well known and loved VPNs thanks to its simplicity and straightforward settings interface. You'll find plenty of useful info throughout ExpressVPN's site on how to get the best out of ExpressVPN on various devices, and it's also updated regularly with new features. I'm reviewing it on an iPhone XS Max, so I haven't been able to try the desktop versions yet.
If you're familiar with the other VPNs out there then ExpressVPN should be easy to use, with a great reputation of delivering good service to regular customers. ExpressVPN has a range of price points, with 3, 6 and 12 month options available at their lowest cost. I'd recommend choosing the 6-month deal so you can benefit from three months free, but you can save almost a half a year in this way. If you're looking for a VPN that'll save you some money at the same time then ExpressVPN's not a bad choice. The drawback is that you can't pay monthly for an ExpressVPN account, only annual subscription is available.
Why use ExpressVPN? ExpressVPN allows up to five simultaneous connections on all devices, including Windows, Mac, iOS and Android mobile devices, iPhones, iPads, Chromebooks and more.
Why is my VPN blocking my internet?
I am using VPN for browsing on my laptop as it is quite slow.
I connect to the internet using a DSL connection which is fast. My problem is that when I connect to the VPN and I try to browse, it takes some time to load any website and I see that the speed of the internet drops a little bit. How can I solve this?
You are hitting the bandwidth limits of the VPN provider. They will be able to provide you with an IP address on their network that allows them to do so, but it will be limited by their network.
In your case, it sounds like they are only providing you with a very small amount of bandwidth on the public IP address that you are using. When you are connected to their network, they will be able to provide you with a larger amount of bandwidth, but this is also limited.
You should look into what kind of bandwidth you need to get your websites to load properly. If you don't need to run a server or do any other bandwidth-intensive tasks on the site, you could try connecting to a more limited VPN that is only providing you with a certain amount of bandwidth.
