In general, it's possible, but not advisable. While Macs are relatively friendly to using as routers, they're not really optimized for it, and there are few features on a Mac to support the idea of using it as a router. And, if you don't know what you're doing, it can be very frustrating to spend a couple hours setting up a simple network, only to find out that it's not working, because you forgot to install the firmware updates to your MAC. Or because you didn't set up an IP address correctly.

It is possible, but not easy, and most people will probably not go to the effort. No. The way the OS works, it is not designed to act as a router. It's not designed to be configured by the user and it is not optimized for it.

If you want to do this you should probably invest in a proper router.
