Is PrivadoVPN trustworthy?

To my knowledge, PrivadoVPN is one of the only VPN services that does not require you to manually install the software on your computer.

Instead, it automatically connects you to the server. You can also use your mobile device to connect to a PrivadoVPN server.

When I first signed up for PrivadoVPN, I was very excited to try it. I used it a few times and I found the service to be completely useless. It was really slow, and I couldn't even connect to any of the servers they advertised. I was disappointed, but I was still considering whether I wanted to continue using the service.

When I recently signed up for a new subscription, I decided to give the service another chance. This time, I did not get the same poor connection as before.

I was able to connect to the servers they advertise on their website. I was also able to watch video online from different servers. And I even managed to download some files from the server.

So far, so good. However, I have a few concerns about PrivadoVPN that I would like to address.

First, I noticed that you are required to enter a credit card number when you sign up for the service. They do not allow you to use PayPal or Google Wallet to sign up for the service. This is not a huge problem, because you can avoid entering your credit card information if you do not want to pay for the service. But the fact that they won't let you use PayPal or Google Wallet is a bit disappointing.

Next, I was curious how the server end of things worked. I wanted to know how the servers were located and how the connections were made between the server and the user. I did not find that information anywhere on their website.

I know that most of the Internet uses HTTP to deliver web pages, but I was still curious to know how PrivadoVPN handled the actual communication between the server and the client. It seems like a pretty important part of any VPN service.

The answers to my questions are easy to find if you know where to look. For example, you can find a chart on PrivadoVPN's website that shows the locations of the servers.

If you scroll down to the bottom of the chart, you will see a link that says Learn more.

Does PrivadoVPN sell your data?

If you've ever used a VPN for your privacy, then you've probably heard of one of the most common and well-known VPNs called Private Internet Access (PIA). PIA has been around since 2025 and has become an industry standard for VPN users. So how do you know if it's the right VPN for you?

Is PIA selling your data? Some people are worried that PIA is selling their data to third parties. The official website of Private Internet Access states that they only sell anonymous information about their users. But they don't say what they mean by anonymous and it's hard to believe that they mean something other than selling data to third parties. We wanted to learn more about how they operate and what kind of data they actually sell to third parties.

How they run their business. The company behind Private Internet Access is called Private Internet Access Ltd (PIA), based in Vancouver, Canada. They are a Canadian company that sells a virtual private network (VPN) service, so we had a little bit of a feeling that were dealing with a Canadian company.

You can find out a lot about PIA from their website. This company sells a VPN service, but it's more than just a VPN. It's also a hosting provider and a domain registrar. But there are some things you should look out for.

What PIA does not tell you. In the Whois records for the Private Internet Access website, we found the following records: Private Internet Access Ltd. Was founded on March 12, 2025.

Company Name: Private Internet Access Ltd. Address: 2126 Main Street. City: Vancouver. Province: BC. Postal Code: V5Y 3C1. Country: Canada. Phone Number: 1-604-854-0222. The phone number listed is also PIA's Customer Support number. In the Help section, you can read about all of the products that PIA offers. However, there is no mention of what PIA does with your data. We tried contacting them via email, but they never responded.

What PIA does tell you. They also tell you that their VPN service is based on OpenVPN.

You can also find out about privacy on the web by checking out the most popular privacy blog and articles. The best thing about online privacy is the anonymity we have. We can choose not to comment, for example, or put something in an email. Even something like a tweet takes a bit of effort, even if someone might not know that the tweet comes from a different account. Privacy is good. And free VPN Reddit? What could better than a free VPN with a fast connection, unlimited server speed, or no software to download.

No matter how it happened, I am pretty sure the government was not the one that cracked me. As such, if you decide to pay for a VPN subscription, my recommendations are TunnelBear and Private Internet Access. Both companies offer some of the best deals online. The only downside is that both of them are a little behind NordVPN in terms of features. So if you want a robust VPN, don't hesitate to choose between them.

In contrast, it's easier to hide your tracks in certain VPN locations (like Hong Kong), and the country selection options can make it easier to protect against government surveillance in some countries. That being said, it's still possible for you to be snooped onwhether by the U. Government or another country's security agenciesif you use a VPN that is less than completely private.

But the biggest thing it does is allow you to connect to a server somewhere else while still being shielded. Basically, it gives your own VPN-like tunnel to any website, no matter where you are. There is still a lot of benefits to VPNs, especially as a security tool. Many people think VPNs just tunnel you through public Wi-Fi networks or other hotspots, and in that regard, it's probably correct. But as with all things VPN, there's a flip side. You can actually use a VPN to hide your browsing habits from prying eyes, while you are still protected by your VPN's encrypted data stream. There is more to VPNs than connecting to them. There is. And there are good reasons for that. They have had a couple of very hard times now, and there was a time when they were free, too.

So, why did we drop our review score on it from 4.5 stars to 3? Because they launched with one of the best, most useful and valuable features in the history of the internet: FREE PRIVATE VPN SERVICE! This service was revolutionary when we reviewed them. It didn't make sense at the time. At least not for your average internet user.

But now. Now, this is a no brainer. I'm always surprised that we haven't really covered the free VPN feature with the same passion as we cover other features. It feels like some of our readers missed this or are unaware of it.
