How do I stop opening an app from Safari?
I can't find any way to stop a WebView App from opening it's menu at the top of the screen.
Is there a way to do that? I have tried "Disable all add-ons", then disable extensions, disable Safari menu extension, etc. Also tried "Open in app" and "Open in Safari", but nothing seems to work!
As of iOS 10, it appears the Safari menu is no longer available to the user. This makes it impossible to just "disable all add-ons". Even if you could disable the menu it would not prevent an app from opening it's menu in Safari.
However, this is somewhat annoying. With the release of Safari 11 for iPhone and iPad the menu was brought back. The new Apple UI guidelines suggest that an app should behave consistently with Safari.e. This includes opening the app's menu as the first thing it does.
With Safari 11 on iOS you will be able to right click an url and the app icon will be highlighted. When you tap on it, the web browser will open the URL in Safari.e. It should also open the menu bar in Safari.e. If this does not work, try tapping the button that has an instead of the o.
