Does SoftEther work on Linux?

So I was looking for some software to do some VPN'ing on my Ubuntu 10.

10 netbook and came across this program. It seems to work great but I can't seem to find any information on whether or not it will work on a linux based system (if it does of course). Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

EDIT 2: It may be useful for others to know that I don't need to edit any settings on my router as this SoftEther will handle all the routing. I'd like to echo the thanks for this great program. I've been trying to use it for my university, but so far I've found no way to get it to work. I keep getting the following error: Error: Cannot find module './lib.linux/socket/dns/resolvquery.js'

If anybody could tell me how to fix that it would be greatly appreciated. I've used softether on a few linux machines now. On Slackware 9.1, I had trouble with a very recent version of softether that made the entire system slow to the point of unresponsiveness. I installed an older version that had been posted here and worked perfectly. If I recall correctly, that version was 1.4.7. As for the error message, that happens with a lot of softether versions. Not sure what the deal is.

I've installed it on several systems (not Linux) and have found it works perfectly. I actually used this program recently and noticed that although the settings appear to function, I can't really use them. I'm setting up a VPN tunnel, and in order to access the internet I need to set the "Outgoing IP" on my router to a specific IP address that I need to use. When I try to go to that IP address (which I entered in the "Outgoing IP" section of Softether) I simply get a "This page can't be displayed" message. Also, I believe it's not a good idea to use an IP address on the same subnet that you're connecting to, so I would need to access the internet on a different IP address. Is there any way around this?

You say you can't find anything about the config in there? Where are you trying to open it from?

I thought that was a setting for softether but I cant remember? I must have turned it off when I was looking for the config. If I could access the file from there I would have done it, however I did try opening the directory from the command line and it works fine, so thats my next question how to tell which OS I am running on? I'm not exactly sure how a vpn works but you need an executable, which then tells the system where your VPN server is. I believe all software has one, they will typically tell you to download the executable from the server or your network as part of the installation process (it's been a while since I've set up a VPN). Once you have the executable downloaded you need to run it to tell it where the VPN server is. What EXACTLY is happening when you don't run the executable, if you haven't changed any settings/server configurations?
