If you later move to a new location, you'll need to update your address on Netflix.

How do I bypass Netflix VPN block?

Netflix VPN bypass - I would be so happy if this worked on iOS 6.

I live in the US, and use my iPad 3G at home and on-the-go with my AT&T data plan. Everything was great until a couple weeks ago when I discovered that my iPad no longer connects to the AT&T network after I hit the "Netflix" icon, causing all the websites I want to visit to completely lose connection (they ask for permission from my WiFi or cellular network, but it's impossible because the iPad is not connected to any network). I'm sure this problem is related to something about my iPad's network settings, but I don't know what I'm looking for or where to start.

I tried to connect using AT&T's WiFi hotspot in my own home but nothing. I tried connecting to the cellular network in my car, but it connects fine, but the problem occurs when I try to load Netflix from the tablet. Does anyone have any ideas? I'd be so grateful for your help! Thank you!

Re: ? As a rule of thumb, if the device has the ability to connect to "AT&T mobile broadband", there's probably something wrong with your connection to the cellular network and/or "AT&T wifi hotspot". Also, as a best practice, connect to your own WiFi or cellular network and if you don't want to be charged extra usage by AT&T, just don't use it in your home and while driving.

As a best practice, connect to your own WiFi or cellular network and if you don't want to be charged extra usage by AT&T, just don't use it in your home and while driving. Thanks for all the suggestions. I will try all of them. Is there any way to find out why the device isn't connecting to the AT&T network using the AT&T app? I mean, is there any reason to connect to AT&T wifi hotspot, besides I don't have one of those. It seems like a weird connection problem to me.

I have a similar problem with my android phone. However, it happens when I switch the data connection from WiFi to mobile or vice-versa.

What happens if you don't set a primary location Netflix?

I have been a Netflix subscriber for over two years now and have had my account for about four years.

Before, at the time of signing up, I had set my zip code as my primary location, but for the last six months or so, I've lost access to my streaming movies and shows. Sometimes, in the early morning hours, I can access movies and shows after I open up the Netflix app on my computer. The most recent time this happened was three months ago.

Does setting your location as your primary means that Netflix will start storing the data for you? I have never thought about this until now, but does it matter to whether Netflix works properly? If you don't set a primary location, Netflix will automatically set your location to whatever you type in. What happens if you type in a zip code other than what you set as your primary location? I guess it would work the same way for Netflix, so when I tried to search for "Mountain View," for instance, it wouldn't find anything and no titles could be shown. It was like everything was empty!

The Netflix FAQ said nothing about this, and the Netflix help/support has always worked on their own zip code. So, if you were a subscriber in the past six months, do you know how they handled this problem? Was it a one-time glitch that they just fixed or is it another part of the Netflix's problem? Do you think they are planning to fix this problem, or am I just being paranoid? Please explain and thank you in advance.

Re: ? You are right - setting a primary location in place of the correct one didn't seem to make any sense. I'm a new user and I have no clue why it would make sense. Also, I can still access Netflix on my computer even though I typed in Mountain View incorrectly. I've changed my zip code in the last six months and I didn't pay attention to check how many times I changed it. If I did change it again, I didn't bother changing it again because I have it right now.

Last night, however, I wanted to watch the new season of House M. I couldn't find any of it even though I have all the proper information about this show. There were no streaming titles with M.

Can I share my Netflix account with family in a different home?

I live with my parents, who have an older, shared account on their TV.

The account has been linked to the TV for the last seven years, and they never bothered to tell me that it's theirs until now. They also never tried to restrict my access. But when they were living on their own I was able to get my own Netflix account, and share the movies among us. My question is this: How do I share my Netflix account, or make another account for myself that is a replacement, without having to be granted access to their account, and if it's possible, can they still access the videos? I can see this causing conflict, because I did receive a message from them warning me of this change, and I don't want to ruin their relationship, so am looking for ways around this. Thanks!

A Netflix representative says you will need to set your account up in another name. The best method would be probably through a proxy. A proxy acts as a sort of a gateway between your computer and the Internet, allowing you to bypass firewalls and proxies while browsing online. By using a proxy, users are able to browse the Internet anonymously, which is especially useful in areas where the Internet is restricted, such as China. Proxy servers vary in price depending on your location, but there are some good free options that provide excellent service.

We will not get into a discussion as to how you can get around Netflix's restrictions. We would strongly recommend that you work it out with your family and make them understand what this could possibly mean for them. We suggest you consider going through a trusted family friend or the family network who doesn't care. There could be risks as you will be putting them at a disadvantage. If Netflix isn't aware of this, you may be in breach of Terms & Conditions and risk disconnecting your account. You will also be opening them up to litigation.

There will be some risks, so think before making any rash decisions.
