Where to find Surfshark credentials?

How do I get a Surfshark VPN certificate?

There are two ways to get a Surfshark certificate.

The first is by using the company's auto-install method, which is quick, easy and free.

The second method is by contacting the company directly and submitting an app (with your public key) that you'd like them to sign and submit to their server. When the first method isn't available for any reason, you can use the second one. If you don't want to get a certificate from the company or you simply want to take full control over your certificate, it's an option. The rest of this post will walk you through the steps to create a private key, generate a PEM certificate, send it to the company and have them submit the certificate for you.

The main steps are described below: Generate a private key Generate a PEM certificate with your public key Add your public key to the certificate Sign the certificate Upload the signed certificate to the company Add your private key to the signature file, send it back to the company and they'll verify it Upload your signed certificate to the Surfshark server Submit your certificate to the server Remove the keys. This process takes a few minutes, but after you've gone through it you can start getting more serious about your security. Before you begin, I recommend creating a new wallet on your computer to hold your private keys. These keys should not be lost or stolen. This wallet is not a backup wallet, but rather a way to transfer the keys between computers so you can keep your privacy.

On Windows 7 and up, go to Start Menu > System Tools > Create a new wallet. If you lose this wallet, or your computer gets stolen, it's not a problem as you can create a new one.

Step 1: Generate a private key. Create a folder on your desktop or anywhere else you want to keep it safe.

How do I fix Surfshark login issues?

I have just setup a VPS, installed LAMP, and then surfshark. I go to surfshark.com and it redirects me to where it doesn't ask me for a username and password when I want to login.

I have not changed my apache configuration file at all. Apache site configuration as seen here: I checked to make sure the webroot folder had a .htaccess file, it does not so the only thing I can think of is the .htaccess in the document root could be messing with it.

Any suggestions? Thanks! The only server side configuration you need to change here is where you define "BaseDir" (the DocumentRoot path). Try pointing it to /home/user/surfshark and restart Apache. That should put the files in your correct directory.

Manually connect to Surfshark VPN?

If you are having trouble accessing your favorite websites or apps, it could be a DNS problem. In the Surfshark VPN client, go to Preferences > Advanced > Network Settings and click on DNS Settings. Make sure that the DNS Servers section has the correct IP address for Google's Public DNS.

The DNS Settings is now displayed on the screen. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click on OK. Your DNS will start to be resolved automatically. Check if the problem persists by un-checking the option DNS Settings > DNS Servers > Save and close the application. Go back to the DNS Settings section and you will see that the DNS is properly set.
