How do I force delete a Family Link?
I have a family link that was created by the user instead of a member.
Now I want to force delete the user because it is being misused. How can I go about doing this?
You cannot delete a family link on the User or Group objects because of how the system works. A family link is essentially a relationship between a member and the person or group that they have Family Linked to.
There's no way for you to delete a member from a group, so you need to delete that user from all groups and then delete their family link.

Can a child remove themselves from Family Link?
Is there a way to remove myself from Family Link?
I am not comfortable with the information that I have been given and I am worried that they will use it against me if I try to get a job. I got into Family Link because my children are not allowed to work. I was told that the only way for me to get a job was to be a registered foster care parent. However, I have not been able to find any information on how I can be removed from Family Link. I have tried to look it up online but I haven't been able to find any information. Please help!
I had the same concern. However, I called to speak with someone and was assured that I could be removed from the program at anytime. She also said that if I wanted to leave, I should inform the caseworker that I wished to leave the program. I hope this helps. Good luck!
I just learned that it is important to be aware of your rights as a foster parent. If you don't feel that you are receiving what you need and you want out of the program, then I would suggest you contact the social worker, and explain that you are willing to receive services in another agency or state. Hopefully they will work with you to see if there is any way to meet your needs in another setting. If you are not receiving services in your home, then you may be eligible for some services in another setting. You may need to find out more about these programs.
Hi! I am sorry I did not see your post sooner. I didn't think I could add anything to this since I am in a similar situation. However, I have been working with Family Link since they were contracted to provide services.
I contacted them and explained that I felt like the services were not appropriate for my situation. I asked if they could please send me a packet of information about the private placement program.
I explained that I am a foster parent who has a child that was recently placed. I was given the option to provide services to my child or to have the child placed. The private placement program is the only option left for my child to continue to receive services. They told me that they would send me a packet of information regarding the program.
I have received no information from them and I have contacted them several times asking for information.
