Is scraping Amazon products legal?
Some time ago, I discovered Amazon products which were being sold through scraping.
The reason I am sharing this is that some time ago, I have been approached by a company offering a service to help with the same task. They are called ProductScout and their website is . After I learned about their service, I thought it would be an interesting experiment to see how they work.
For my first experiment, I bought a Kindle and tried to sell the product on Amazon. After I bought it, I used the app on my phone and started entering my credentials. Within seconds, the app reported an error:
The site you are attempting to access isn't authorized to use this feature. I was surprised by the error. I checked the Amazon website, and it is not clear that they want to restrict scraping. I decided to continue to the next step of the process, and entered my email address and a password. At that point, I was directed to a screen where I could choose from two options: Sell or Reject the Product. After I selected Sell, I was then directed to a page where I could select a price for the product.
At the end of this process, I was presented with a list of items that I could sell on Amazon. For the price that I selected, I was presented with an option to buy the item. The product was not displayed on the website, but it was available for purchase. However, after I went through the process, I did not receive any money.
When I went to the ProductsScout website, I was able to browse products that were available on Amazon, and I was able to enter my email address and a password, and then I was presented with a list of products. I was also able to select a price for the products. After I selected a price, I was presented with an option to buy the product. I could also select the Amazon payment method. I was then directed to a page where I could enter my credit card information. After I entered my credit card information, I was then directed to a page where I could select my shipping address.
I was able to enter a few products, and I received a confirmation email, but none of the products were purchased.

How do I scrape an Amazon website using Python?
I want to scrape a website and return the product details for each product.
The problem is the website has multiple categories. In the sample code, there are two categories but in reality there are many.
You can use beautiful soup to parse through the categories and then create a list of dictionaries with the relevant information from each product, such as the name of the product, the price, the URL, etc. You can then use the urllib2 library to download the page and get the text that you need.
From urllib2 import Request, urlopen. From bs4 import BeautifulSoup. Import re. Url = "". Req = Request(url). Page = urlopen(req).findall('div', ): title = product.find('h3').text
price = product.find('span', ).text
url = product.find('a').
