However, the main focus of the service is smart DNS, which allows users to point their name servers without having to worry about which IP address of your website or your IP address, for example, should be used to access it. That sounds like a very good deal, right? Well, not if you have a site with hundreds or thousands of websites. Surfshark's Smart DNS isn't free, but it could just cost you a small fortune to add custom domains. Well, thankfully, we're here to tell you it works, it's absolutely worth the money. How to add custom domains with Surfshark's Smart DNS. There's a pretty straightforward process to actually add custom domains to Surfshark, but first, make sure you are signed up for one of their plans (this tutorial focuses on their Platinum plan). Once you have logged in, simply click on the gear icon in the top right corner of the page and click on Settings, as shown below: Scroll down to the DNS section and click save changes. Now that you have the basic settings for your account, you need to add custom domains. This is done under DNS Settings in the sidebar:

Now, simply enter in any URL you want to be associated with your custom domain. You must enter the entire URL (which might include an IP address for example ), then click on Create. Your web browser should now go to your new custom domain URL.

And there if you open the link, then when you go to the site, and check the footer "surfshark code", then the Surfshark banner is not displaying, this means you do not have Javascript support, so you don't have to open another browser to surf. When you go to the site and you get the message that says: Safari does not support Javascript surfing; or simply don't support surfing, then Surfshark ads banner is missing.

How does Safari surfing works? Safari surfing is different from surfing other browsers. First, I just use the URL of Safari.e. So, (URL) means the home page of Safari, when you type a new URL, then Safari will show you the home page of that URL. However, the page that has Javascript and the page in which you have Surfshark ads banner, are different.

Second, when surfing Safari, if you click a link, then you will be redirected to the page. However, the Surfsahrk banners are only displayed after clicking in "surfshark code" (HTML code) when surfing a page in which Surfshark is not supported by the website.

Why Surfshark ads don't work? Ads that appear when surfing with Safari don't display if surfing Safari.e. The AdBannerView is not active for that page.

Why surfing Safari works? The first difference is a difference in the browsers used. Safari uses WebKit. WebKit is very close to Gecko. A browser that supports Javascript can surf without a problem.

Why surfing Chrome doesn't work? Chrome uses Google Chrome. Google Chrome is a fork of Chromium, which is based on Gecko web engine. Google Chrome includes webkit too, but it is slightly different. But, Google Chrome does not include webkit that is integrated into the user interface. Webkit is only available in Chrome.
