Does VPN work with hotspot iPhone?

I have a hotspot iPhone and I want to use it with a VPN connection.

I have the Mac and PC apps, but I'm not sure if either works with the hotspot phone. Can someone tell me if I can connect to a VPN via the hotspot?

You cannot connect a phone or tablet to the VPN server's connection, that would defeat the point of the VPN and the end result is that the phone or tablet would not see any VPN connections, it would see the IP of the Internet connected to the server, which may not be what you want. If it is a business VPN, you will need a separate computer if the phone/tablet does not have the ability to connect to the VPN server directly. If it is a personal VPN service such as Viscosity, there is a way to do this if it is enabled, although I do not know how easy it is to connect and what the limitations are.

It is however possible for a business/enterprise VPN service to extend its VPN server's reach to other connected clients that do not have any VPN connections, but not the way you have stated.
