Is there a free site blocker?

I'd like to block a site from loading for example.

So if you google "miami jersy" It loads but when you try to click it I don't see anything. Is there something like that?

I use the free one and have yet to discover anything wrong with it. If I want an even more simple solution I have been using the one off www.freehostia.net and their own IP block system. It won't show up on your end, but if someone wanted to get at your computer they would have to be able to break into my personal network with admin rights to a server not to mention they have to have either a static IP or change your DNS settings to something else. If you keep all things locked down, it's not too hard to keep stuff off your computer.

I use an open source ad blocking software called ABP which is also fairly new, just released a few weeks ago, but since then it has gotten alot of development. This one supports a lot more features than the ad blockers normally available on desktops, plus it works great in firefox and I really like the support options available. (It uses java so it will only work on java enabled websites.)

I just added a simple method to Block and Whitelist IPs for Firefox with ABP, that can be modified for any language/browser, all done through a simple interface, here's the url to access it: ABP is just 1 year old, a lot has already been done, and its only a matter of time before we make a major push for more support, but I guess this still doesn't cover much.
