How long does it take to become a QA tester?
You're sitting in a chair in front of your desk and you've got your headset on with your headphones plugged into your machine.
In front of you there's a big window with a box titled "New User Acceptance Test" where the name of the person who's signed up to start the test is listed. They've put themselves in a box in which they have to enter their username and password and then click a button with a little green play button on it.
When the test ends, you log in and find yourself inside a "Completed Test". You click off to the other window that shows the name of the person who created the test and the version of whatever it was that they were testing. It looks pretty neat.
I think I'd better at it if there weren't so much text everywhere. I guess I'm sort of over the moon excited about the idea, but it just takes me too long to actually read what's being written or see what you're supposed to do. Maybe that's good - perhaps the way I do it means that I'm thinking about what's happening on the screen as I'm doing it instead of just following along with the instructions.
I've decided to make an RPG character sheet for myself. With each character sheet, there are 5 questions to fill out. I already filled out one and I'm going to try to fill out the next one by the end of the month.
I can see where there are a lot of characters I could easily make based on this new rule. In turn, the number of possible unique characters are slightly reduced, which will allow for smaller groups, or possibly even a single-class character.
I might have to take a look at it when I have some more time, perhaps if I get a new job later in the year. I have a lot of ideas for small games to make once I get going on my own, it would be cool to be able to make games quickly and have them be really small.
I think these types of games are better without any combat. The kind of gameplay that I enjoy (for some reason) has the most chance of causing me frustration in RPGs.
