Has Netflix blocked VPN?
I have Netflix on my Roku, and since it launched recently, whenever I try to start streaming, it keeps showing this message: "Netflix has not been available for your device for some time.
We're sorry about the inconvenience, but it's likely that the service is not available at this time." It also says "Please try again later."
I know it's a VPN problem, but I'm not sure why Netflix doesn't want my connection on my VPN! If I don't have Netflix, everything works fine. Has anyone else had this issue? I've tried unblocking sites with their IP addresses to see if it would help, but they all work fine without any error. I'm using the "free" version of the VPN.
Re: Netflix blocks VPN? You have a problem. I would assume it could be related to IP based banning. Perhaps the IP address of the VPN does not allow you to connect to Netflix. You can verify this by trying to connect with a different IP or just use the address directly ( ). The IP addresses may not be very open to people outside your country. This is generally not an issue with the free VPN as it is using the local IP address. Some services block the IP address. For example, Netflix does. Some services may block on a single IP address basis. It is important to understand what the IP address is on and the reason it is being blocked. You could always use a different VPN service.
