How do I unblock Google?
I have tried to unblock google.
Com in my browser, and even in the Network tab I get this message: "Google has been blocked by your internet service provider". ?
I've tried to unblock google.com, but it won't let me because my internet service provider says I'm not allowed. I've asked them and they told me I can't unblock it because I'm not allowed to do that. I'm doing it from my Windows laptop and I have a USB dongle plugged in, so it's not a firewall problem. I've tried to unblock other websites like Facebook and Twitter but they work fine.
It seems to be a problem with your ISP and not with your computer. There is not much you can do about it. You can try calling your ISP and asking them if they can change their mind or if they have any plans to unblock the site, but it's really hard to say what they will do, they may say they have no plans to do it and you'll be stuck.
You can also try searching for an alternative DNS server (for example OpenDNS) and see if that works better. Well I have a feeling that your ISP is right. There is nothing that can be done to get this to work.
You can try going to the google DNS servers directly. I don't know if your ISP will allow you to do that though. In some cases you can find a link to the Google DNS servers on the DNS page on their website.
If you can try to find another computer that can use those google dns servers and see if it works better. I would suggest trying the DNS servers from OpenDNS if you can find the information on their site.
How do I unblock a Google app I blocked?
I have been trying to unblock a Google app on my phone for the last few days.
The only thing that is coming up is "Could not find application". I have also been trying to add another line of text to my Google search bar by going to my gmail.com account but every time I try, I get the same message. Is there any way to get this back to normal?
Re: ? My solution was to turn off my Google account for a while. The problem is gone, and I've been able to go back to using Google apps. I'm sure that Google has an issue causing this problem. You can try deleting your account and re-setting it.
There is no way to fix it from the Android app. In my opinion this is a major bug in the app. This is clearly a fixable bug on their end, I'd love to see them fix it sooner than later.
I am not sure what you are referring to as "Android app" but it is true that the Android app does not offer this functionality. I work for Google as a software engineer. The only way I can unblock a blocked app is to change my account password. This was not done intentionally. It's not a big deal since I don't use this particular app, but it is not a feature that is supported.
We recently launched a new feature to let users remove apps from their accounts that are unused (not installed). It's something that I think a lot of our users will benefit from and I hope they like it. If not, we'll take a look at this in the future.
How do I remove blocked from Google?
I have been going crazy looking at things on Google but I just don't know how to get past a page that says it is blocked by a webmaster tool or some sort.
What do I do to resolve? It only allows me to click OK or Cancel, not "delete from site". Any help would be appreciated!
To be able to "get passed" it you need to delete it from the webmaster tool. If you do that it removes it from their search result. Some sites are still listed after being removed so if you still see it then it is not removed.
For Google's webmaster tools to "block" it on a particular site they are required to be reported as spammed or malicious in other ways. It also requires the blocking action to be performed from their servers. It won't do anything for a site that it isn't able to act upon.
Thank you so much for your response! This has actually cleared it up quite well! Does anyone know why if a site gets "blocked" from Google Webmaster Tools why doesn't it remove it when I hit "delete from site"? I have another question about that though: I noticed that some pages are allowed to stay on Google Search results even if they got removed from webmaster tools (but are listed as blocked). For example, I want to see the search result of "cab driver from London to London" because it is one of my favorite results of course but I want to remove it but it seems like it's allowed to remain in search results. How do I make it removed without any problem?
Google webmaster tool is showing those links as blocked by google bots (spam crawler). But after you delete those pages in google webmaster tools, those pages will be automatically re-indexed and these links will be shown in google search.
You've pointed out some of the reasons that may explain why you're still seeing some of these links. In order to delete a page from the index, a lot of factors have to be considered.
One of the most important of these factors is whether or not the page gets deleted from the database (or its HTML files) or not. When you remove pages from the database, all related URLs also get removed. When you remove pages from the HTML files themselves, the links in the body of the HTML files are left intact.
