How do I register for my Firefox Focus key? You can register your product at gofocus.com/register or using the Get Firefox Focus mobile app (Google Play or App Store) or desktop browser plugin. Registration is only required once.
If you choose to register through the application, you will need a credit card to make sure that the application receives a payment. Your payment is not linked to a phone number.
In-app registration offers you three different ways of signing up for your Focus keys: Using social login using Google or Facebook. This type of login is not available on Firefox for Android and there are no plans to add it at this time. It means that anyone on the social media platforms can register for a Focus key.
Manual registration without a social login through the desktop application. Manual registration with email address or phone number verification. Once you've registered the focus key, you will receive a mail that contains your Focus keys token. You may use that token to unlock Focus on your device as much as you want.
How do I get my key? GoFocus lets you get a Focus key online and offline in different ways. Online registration includes an auto unlock which unlocks your Focus if you use it within 14 days after you purchase. Offline registration requires you to use your key and pay for the unlock. Mobile phone verification requires either an SMS text message, or an OTP generated through a call to a predetermined number. OTP is used when your password is wrong or stolen or you lose your phone. Note: You may only use this option on supported OSes. Please refer to gofocus.com/support.
Email Verification allows you to get your key directly sent to your email address, but it is only applicable with credit cards through the desktop or mobile web application. If you are registered to that service, you have the ability to log in to see a dashboard.
When does the Firefox Focus price plan start? The Firefox Focus price plan starts January 3, 2023 for one-year subscriptions and May 1, 2023 for two-year subscriptions. A yearly subscription enables you to unlock Focus and pay upfront for the next 12 months, making it very attractive option for frequent travelers.

How do I enable focus in Firefox?
3 In Firefox 23 and later: Click the menu button (hamburger) at the top of the browser window, then select Settings. If there is no Settings menu in the menu bar, use the keyboard shortcut F1 (for Help).
On the Shortcuts tab, expand Keyboard Shortcuts and click the "Focus Controls" entry.
The following options appear on the Focus Control tab: Allow Focus Controls Toggles the setting for mouse-clicking the Focus Control elements (called focus elements). Enable Focus Control Elements Toggles the setting for mouse-clicking the Focus Control elements (called focus elements). Mouse-clicking Focus Element(s) Specifies which elements are considered focus elements. The elements must be visible for the focus control to work properly. You can use the spacebar key to enter and exit selections.
Auto-Focus (F9) Toggles whether or not Firefox automatically focuses the element that was last in focus when you type. If enabled, you can use the spacebar key to add a focusable element. You can use the arrow keys to move focus between elements.
Click OK to save your changes and return to the General tab.
Click Reload to restart Firefox and load the new settings. This feature is available in: Firefox 22 and later. Note: If you want to remove focus controls for your users, deselect the Check box in the Focus Control tab. About Firefox Focus protects your privacy by requiring many websites to show only their content, as well as showing ads based on what you see instead of what a website wants to sell you. It blocks trackers so they can't follow your activity on the web. And it helps make the web a safer place by blocking malware while you browse.
Can Firefox Focus download?
The good folks over at Mozilla have released a first round of bug fixes for Firefox Focus.
Some of you may have already been playing with the app for the last couple of days and have been reporting your findings. So I'd like to share a few of my early discoveries and how I feel about the app.
The bugs list on the Mozilla website seems to be pretty well populated so far and as with any new app or update, we'll see some new issues coming up over the next few days and weeks. In the meantime, I'd like to address a couple of my early observations. First, I've been using the app since it's release but the one thing I found I've not seen mentioned before is that if you open the app while you're in the middle of a browsing session or even while browsing the web, the app can become unstable and crash. That happened a few times but I've not seen anyone talking about it yet.
So if you open the app while browsing, make sure you exit the app before continuing. It happens rarely but if you do experience any issues I'd love to hear more.
I also noticed that I was unable to download content from Netflix using the app. In order to download the content I'd need to head back into Firefox Focus and re-open the app. It's not a major issue but I'd still love to know if others have this issue.
Finally, the one thing I don't really understand is how there's a limit on how many different websites you can visit on a single occasion. I understand you can only download items but why limit how many items you can download? What if I only want to use the app to download 1 item? I asked the question of the community manager and he has answered a bunch of questions on the subject. If you would like to read it, follow the link below.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to ask them in the comments. I'm a tech geek living in a random corner of Australia.
Can you get Firefox Focus on PC?
It's good news that Google and Firefox's browser makers can work together to develop new features for both of their browsers, but it can't be a coincidence that Focus is now available for mobile, too.
A Firefox update earlier this month removed the "Focus" app from its lineup, so we're wondering if Focus will make its way to the PC.
We've reached out to Mozilla for an official comment, but if you're running Firefox Focus on your mobile device, are you happy about not being able to get it on your PC? Related The PC version should be available once the Mac version is released. In the meantime the focus mode doesn't work at all (it's probably tied to the focus mode or something) and the browser freezes when I try to add a new site. I can't even download the app from the app store - it just says "loading." forever.
It was a good idea when we first introduced it as a Firefox version, but since then they've added so many features and capabilities and removed so many more that it is no longer unique or relevant. And I use Edge because they keep their promises, unlike FF. Yeah, I can't even add a new tab in there anymore! I had to uninstall, then download it from Firefox directly from the site, then install manually, and it's still not working. My phone is now unusable.
If the idea is to get away from our browser history/history being tied to the websites we visit, then by removing the focus mode AND the app, what are the advantages? We already know the browser is getting better but if we remove our most unique feature, then we are losing the advantage that this browser was trying to exploit. I think we are better off with something else like Chrome/Chromium.
@Mikki - This is not the case. You have a choice between two different things. You don't have to do either of them, but you can do one or the other. It's very simple. Focus Browser is just a regular Firefox browser with some extra settings in it. It's not a separate app. It's just like Chrome, it's a normal browser with some extra settings.
@kylep - You can remove the app, but there's nothing that you can't do in Focus mode that you can't do in regular Firefox.
