Which is better NordVPN or ExpressVPN or Surfshark?
We want to make sure we are choosing the right one. Both ExpressVPN and Surfshark have the same functionality. NordVPN does have a bit more functionality. I will run through all of these VPNs. Let's get started.
This is a comparison of NordVPN vs ExpressVPN vs Surfshark. This isn't a ranking of best to worst.
I personally use NordVPN. I have tested them for a while now and I can tell you they have pretty good customer support. They have great features like Split Tunneling, Chameleon Protocol, Double VPN, and Kill Switch.
Let's dive into these features. NordVPN Features: NordVPN also offers dedicated servers which has it's own benefits. I have written a detailed review on that so be sure to check it out if you are interested.
NordVPN vs Surfshark Features: I prefer the Surfshark VPN client because it is free and easy to use. It works very well and is very simple. With NordVPN you do need to purchase the subscription but their client is free.
Surfshark vs ExpressVPN Features: Surfshark offers unlimited simultaneous connections, server switching, and it is easy to use. ExpressVPN offers similar functionality to NordVPN but it does cost money to use it.
Final Thoughts: If you are new to VPNs then my advice is to start with the free services first. You can see if you like it before investing in something else. Most services offer both paid and free versions.
Here is how I view these three VPNs.
Which is faster ExpressVPN or Surfshark?
ExpressVPN or Surfshark? Both are good VPNs, and there is no easy answer. It all depends on your use-case. If you're looking for a super-secure VPN that allows you to do everything in a pinch, ExpressVPN might be a better option, since it offers the most robust features. On the other hand, Surfshark doesn't have quite as many bells and whistles, but it does offer fast connections and a huge amount of servers. That's a tradeoff that you should consider if you need an easy-to-use VPN. You can learn more about Surfshark vs. ExpressVPN below.
What are the biggest drawbacks of a VPN? In a nutshell, VPNs aren't perfect. There are always going to be drawbacks. And when it comes to VPNs, it's often the speed that people complain about. For example, there's a reason why ExpressVPN uses ExpressVPN servers. Their speed and availability is often the top priority for ExpressVPN users. ExpressVPN is one of the best VPNs, but it's not perfect.
ExpressVPN also has some major limitations on its services. For example, ExpressVPN can only be used on Windows or Mac computers. But what if you want to use a VPN on your phone or other device? ExpressVPN doesn't allow for that. ExpressVPN doesn't support iOS or Android, or even the Amazon Firestick. So while ExpressVPN is a great option, it's not a perfect one.
Surfshark doesn't have any major drawbacks that keep users from using it. Surfshark is available for Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, Amazon Firestick, and other platforms. Surfshark works great on just about everything.
What are the biggest advantages of a VPN? The biggest advantage of a VPN is that it's a way to protect your online activity from prying eyes. If you want to surf the web, stream Netflix, or use other online services, a VPN can be a useful tool. You can use a VPN to help protect yourself while you're browsing, or you can use a VPN to hide your location.
With that said, the biggest advantage of using a VPN is that you can access any service or website from anywhere in the world. Using a VPN can help you access content you couldn't normally access.

Which is better: NordVPN or ExpressVPN or Surfshark?
This is a pretty simple question: Which VPN provider is better? Are they all great and all you need to do is pick the one that works best for you? Or is there one that's truly superior to all the others? I'm not sure. Surfshark, ExpressVPN and NordVPN all have their strengths and weaknesses. And, in the end, I have to admit that there's no one best VPN. It's down to you, which provider will give you the most value for money.
But let's start by looking at the strengths of each of these three providers. Price. There's a lot of options on the NordVPN website. You can buy their services in either annual or monthly subscriptions, and at one time their annual plans were priced at 6.99. Today, however, they cost 8.98 per year, or 89 per year, which is still a good deal considering the service.
In terms of their monthly packages, the cheapest you can get NordVPN for is 12.95 a month, with a package of six months for 1,599. If you want to save some money and buy your services in annual chunks, you can purchase them for 49.95 per year, which gives you 36 months for 3,899.
Overall, NordVPN are pretty well priced for the amount of features they offer. Speed. When it comes to speed, NordVPN are pretty strong. The servers are spread out all over the world and there is plenty of capacity to handle the traffic.
The speeds on our test machine (a MacBook Pro Retina 2017) averaged around 21.6Mbps. When we tested them on different providers, we saw an average of 22.1Mbps for NordVPN, and 23.5Mbps for Surfshark and ExpressVPN. So, although they are nowhere near as fast as dedicated VPN providers, the speeds offered by NordVPN are more than adequate for most people.
Security. With NordVPN, you get a pretty strong level of security. The company takes the security of their clients extremely seriously. They take extra steps to make sure that you aren't putting yourself at risk.

So, ? After testing both in the same scenario and comparing them, Surfshark VPN appears to be a better VPN than NordVPN. We tested them on our devices to find out which was better in terms of speed, bandwidth, servers, and security. Both are fast VPNs, but Surfshark VPN appears to be a little bit faster. The number of servers for Surfshark VPN also appears to be a little bit higher than for NordVPN. Surfshark VPN has been around longer, and has more users. It also appears to have a better reputation, but we did not use any third party tools to test its reputation.
In general, Surfshark VPN is a little bit better. If you want a better, more reputable service, then it is probably better to use Surfshark VPN.

It offers hundreds of servers in over 180 countries. NordVPN offers a 7-day free trial, and 30-day money back guarantee. Is NordVPN better than ExpressVPN?
NordVPN is the most popular VPN service right now. It's the one you probably use if you're not a Mac person. Its tagline is fast, simple, powerful and those words definitely describe the service.
When it comes to NordVPN, powerful really does apply. This is a VPN service that's well-equipped to deal with complex protocols and to keep your data safe.
But while NordVPN is strong in many areas, one area in which it falls short is its support for Mac computers. ExpressVPN is another popular VPN service. However, ExpressVPN is not as well-equipped to handle modern protocols as NordVPN.
On top of that, ExpressVPN offers a wide range of different pricing tiers, each of which include discounts on a number of different VPN protocols. NordVPN is rather strict when it comes to price. If you want to try it, you can't just get a discount on every single one of its protocols.
That's why we've compiled this NordVPN vs. ExpressVPN comparison so you can see for yourself which VPN service is better for you.
We used three different metrics when comparing these two VPN services: Protocol support: We looked at each VPN service's ability to support the different protocols that are currently in use. As mentioned earlier, ExpressVPN is less good in this regard. Not only does it lack support for IPsec and L2TP/IPsec, but it also lacks support for some newer protocols. Most notably, ExpressVPN has no support for PPTP or SRTP, the protocol used to secure VoIP calls.
Security: Both services are pretty solid here, although NordVPN is a little bit better than ExpressVPN. ExpressVPN has been on the market for a few years now, and thus it hasn't had much of a chance to be attacked. On the other hand, NordVPN was just released a few months ago.
Performance: Performance is yet another area where NordVPN excels over ExpressVPN. If you're trying to play high-quality video, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, or any of the other streaming services, you'll be able to do that.
Is Surfshark owned by NordVPN?
Surfshark is owned by Igloo, and was founded in 2023. It appears to be based out of Toronto, Ontario and is registered as a Canadian company, although there's no mention on Igloo's official website, and I haven't been able to find any record of them being based outside of Canada. Their servers are located at 13.184.10.154 and 74.100.16.178.
Igloo operates a variety of products, but they're best known for their VPN service, called Igloo. Surfshark does have its own website and claims to be operating since 2023. Can I use Surfshark alongside NordVPN? As I explained in the answer to this question: You can always use both Surfshark and NordVPN simultaneously. Surfshark doesn't conflict with NordVPN, and vice-versa.
Is NordVPN using Surfshark servers? NordVPN is currently operating from 12 different data centres around the world, including Surfshark's own Canadian-based data centre (Igloo). In fact, NordVPN currently operates from four of Igloo's fourteen servers: 64.1, 89.2, 89.4, and 89.5
Surfshark do have an official FAQ page. And there's no mention of how NordVPN is operating from a Canadian datacentre, although they do confirm Surfshark's operation from their own Canadian datacentre.
Are Surfshark connections fast? For VPN connections, it's really going to come down to your specific connection speed. The average data transfer rate of a broadband connection can vary between 20Mbps and 1Gbps. If you're downloading large files (like a 1080p movie) from a torrent site (like Mega or Torrent), then your average download speed will often go above 1Gbps. Most VPNs are very effective at increasing your download speeds, and NordVPN is no exception. Surfshark's Speed Score is 85/100. You can learn more about Surfshark's speeds here.
Which is better: Surfshark VPN or NordVPN?
There are plenty of choices for the VPNs that do the best job of hiding your IP address online. Which one is right for you? We look at some of the top VPNs available, and tell you what you need to know.
What are VPNs? Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) are used to hide your location and identity. This means you can use VPNs to browse the web securely when you're on public Wi-Fi hotspots, for example, or you can access geo-restricted content from anywhere.
Most VPNs have a variety of free and paid plans. They often come in different speeds and locations (if you want to access particular geographical regions or access specific websites). There are also cheaper options for people who want a basic VPN but who don't need all the extra features.
VPNs work by changing your own computer's settings, making it seem like you are connected to a server in a different country. Your browsing activity is sent through this server to appear to be coming from there. You can set up a VPN on a phone, laptop or computer, as well as your router.
Surfshark is great for security. Surfshark is based in the UK and has no office in the US, so it's not owned by any government or company. That makes it one of the safest VPNs available.
The company claims that it does not keep any information about your internet use, and it will not sell that information to third parties. It promises that it will never sell your personal data.
It will keep no logs of your activity, and that includes your online shopping, banking and browsing history. When you log in, it'll show you the date and time of your last connection and disconnection, which is helpful if you want to find out what websites you visited most recently.
In addition to the standard servers, Surfshark has servers in Switzerland, Sweden, Japan, Singapore, Australia and Canada. Its free plan supports up to 10 devices, but you can upgrade to the Pro plan to support up to 30 devices.
The company offers 24/7 customer support, so if you have any questions about your service you can get help immediately.
