What are the Caribbean trade preference programs?
Trade preference is essentially a form of quota, and Caribbean nations qualify for such as trade preferences only by meeting the WTO's quantitative conditions set out in the Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT). If Jamaica can prove that it meets the basic requirements, it would qualify for preferential treatment by the US.
When it comes to trade, the US does not play games. This has been proven time and again, including in the US Court of International Trade in an action called "Crosby v. United States" in which Canada, under the leadership of Prime Minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau, was accused of violating the rules of trade. A summary of the facts from the judgment, written by a federal judge called Richard Arnold:
The US argued that the Government of Canada was "providing substantial assistance" to certain Canadian companies, namely those that produced a type of steel known as corrosion resistant steel ("CRCS"), even though Canada did not have any CRCS in its own inventory at the time. However, Canada had used its trade-related financial assistance program to provide loans and grants to companies that would otherwise be unable to obtain financing to produce CRCS. The US claimed that this arrangement provided unfair competitive advantages to Canadian companies. Canada was forced to discontinue its assistance in CRCS and other industries as a result of the litigation. A settlement was eventually reached under which Canada was required to terminate its assistance programs for the CRCS industry and two other industries.
The US also cited three "cases." In the first two cases, Canadian trade policies were shown to constitute direct support for certain companies. In the third case, Canadian laws were shown to require US companies to produce goods in Canada even though these companies could not have established their own presence in Canada without a requirement to do so. (The third case concerned a Canadian requirement that US companies selling vehicles to Canadian consumers be able to build and sell the vehicles in Canada at their own premises. The court found the requirement to be justified, as it ensured that Canadians got the benefit of quality and safety standards applicable to Canadian companies.)
One other case mentioned in the ruling on the Canadian challenge was "Canada and the United States - Measures Concerning Export Credits", a trade dispute brought before the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade. The US challenged Canada's export credits, claiming that the Canadian subsidy was tantamount to discrimination against US products. Canada argued that the subsidies supported investment in its own companies. Canada won.
What is the difference between Cbera and CBTPA?
There is a question on the boards recently about what is the difference between a CBA and a Cbera (or CBTPA). If you have any knowledge about this I would love to hear it.
I'm currently doing CBT for anxiety and my therapist is trained in CBT for Anxiety but has not yet trained in CBT for Depression. She has recommended that I have CBT for Anxiety. Her reasoning is that I had CBT for my anxiety before and that might make things go faster and easier. She says I will probably have more success if I had CBT for both. I am open to the idea, but I also wondered if I would get similar benefits from CBTPA as from CBA? I'm really thinking of getting both because the cost is so high.
I have a question about how CBT is done. Is it mainly talking therapy or is there also physical work like EFT, yoga etc. I thought EFT was usually used for long term or deeper issues, would that be correct?
My Therapist also works on CBT for eating disorders. She says that in most cases, clients don't want to change something like eating habits, only they want to know the difference between good and bad feelings and how to change them. If they do have a problem they usually don't want to do exercises, only talk about how they felt when they ate something "bad" like chocolate or pizza or whatever.
The main difference between CBT for anxiety and CBT for eating disorder is that the treatment for eating disorders lasts a longer period of time and can help people keep from doing behaviors again. Mytherapist also does CBT for OCD, but she said it's rare to have an OCD case that wants to change the OCD, they usually want to change their compulsions. Thanks for all your responses! I guess if I need CBT for depression I may have to get it done outside of my insurance coverage. I would prefer to do it through my insurance since there are 2 therapists that specialize in it. She said that they are the two leaders in the field and that's why she suggested that I have both CBA and CBTPYes, CBT for Eating Disorders is more long term and it involves some exercises like yoga and EFT.
What countries are part of the Cbtpa?

In third place after India and China are South Africa and Russia, which have both increased production as a result of new developments in mining technology. The International Energy Agency (IEA) estimates that by 2025, the share of coal in global energy supply will be 30%. The International Energy Agency (IEA) estimates that, by 2025, the global population of over 7 billion people will consume up to 1,200 billion tons of coal.
