How do I check my signal speed?

I have a Huawei phone, but I don't know if it is the HUAWEI.

What is a good Speedtest level?

Theoretically, you would like your mobile device to be able to receive an uplink signal from the closest cellular base station so that the signal can be transmitted to the internet through a modem. But the real world is not as simple as we wish it would be. In reality, the location of your base station changes.

For example, the closer you are to your cellular network, the more likely it is that your cellular signal will be able to reach you. It also means that a stronger signal is usually required for a mobile device to communicate successfully.

Which Speedtest site is most accurate?

Do you know of a speedtest service which is the most accurate? (by that I mean one where you get the most accurate download speeds). For now, I only know of Speedtest.net but I don't know how accurate it is. I know that Speedtest.net gets its speed by testing your internet provider's line, so maybe it's getting better over time?

I have been doing this since I got my first modem in 2024 and I always use Speedtest.ne The main problem with "accuracy" of speedtests is they are usually from 3G/4G towers and the towers of these ISPs often lie about their true speed. But, yes, over time they might get better since they are testing every tower of every ISP for accuracy. I've tested a few of the towers from BT, Orange and Sky (and a few in other countries) and have always gotten pretty accurate results with Speedtest, but it's hard to say with certainty how accurate they are.

So what I suggest you do is simply compare your results with all the providers you're on with Speedtest.net and see which ones match the results you're getting in your own experience. Then you'll know which one is best for you and get the fastest data speed, at least on paper.

I was curious which speedtest site was most accurate and if you use the app itself, can you go back to a speedtest and pick a location for your test? I am currently trying to figure out what exactly is taking up so much time when testing speeds. Thanks.
Yeah, you can go back to the speedtest website after you're done using the app itself. There's a "Go back" button in the top right corner. The apps just let you enter the info.

But, I don't recommend that unless you know what the speed is.net usually has good accuracy and that will probably be your best choice.

I'm not sure what you mean by "taking up so much time" when you do your speedtests. It doesn't take me long at all. My phone takes 5 seconds tops to complete the tests. Sometimes it takes 10-15 seconds though. You might be able to get faster results if you're on wifi.
