It's becoming more and more annoying by the day. I would rather see my browsing session take a backseat to whatever else I am doing on my computer.

You can find this in the Windows Store, and when you run it explains how Microsoft Edge has replaced all the other browsers, like the ones you used in the past.

If you can't get rid of it, you can now control how much battery it drains, a feature that is enabled by default. Now, when you turn off the screen, Edge will automatically shut down and won't let you use it until you wake up the computer again. This is also done to save energy. It sounds like a good idea, but it actually makes things worse for those who have to keep their computers on all the time.

One thing that the original version of Edge had was the ability to pin websites and apps that you liked to the Windows taskbar.
