Why is my tunnel bear VPN not connecting?

I was wondering why my tunnel bear VPN was not connecting with my computer. I was able to connect in past weeks but now it has stopped working. I have been getting a few disconnects when I am logging on to my vpn network. The rest of the connections work fine. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem? The problem you are experiencing is the DNS resolver, or DNS Client. TunnelBear is known to have the most problematic DNS Client in the industry and has been for at least the last 2 years.

The fix you have to do, is make sure you set your device's DNS resolver to use Google's DNS. This will solve your problem entirely. You can use either Google's DNS addresses, (8.8) or OpenDNS's, (208.67.222)

My setup is different than your, but these steps should help you anyway. Open a web browser. Click on the address bar and enter: www.tunnelbear.com
In the 'Select Server' dropdown, choose "Google". In the 'Search the Web' box, enter 8. Press "Go." If all went well, you should see your IP address being displayed along with 'You're Connected!'. Click on the address bar and enter: 208.222 -In the 'Select Server' dropdown, choose "OpenDNS". In the 'Search the Web' box, enter 208." I use Google's DNS only because I find their servers much more stable than OpenDNS's and I don't need to mess with manually entering the DNS address like I do when I'm using TunnelBear. Hopefully, this helps you too. Good luck!
