Why does Netflix say no internet connection when I have internet?
I bought the original series streaming service so I could finally watch House of Cards.
In my apartment it has internet, but it says that I have no internet in the settings. It says yes to wifi, and it says no to cellular internet.
It worked fine when the wifi was on in the cable box. What's going on? This is what my settings look like: Make sure you have everything properly connected. Make sure you have WiFi, Ethernet (WAN), Cellular and then Internet at the very least. Do not enable anything else like VPN unless you need it. Try to connect all 4 wires at once and test to make sure all 4 boxes are active.
If you have more than one connection, make sure the cables and connectors are properly matched and the right ones.
Why is Netflix not working but internet is fine?
I can watch videos on YouTube without a problem.
I live in the UK and I'm also affected by the problem with my internet provider, Freeserve. They claim they are fixing the problem but as soon as I call them, I get through to somebody from Australia, with a different accent. They just don't seem to know anything about the problem I'm having, so I doubt that they will solve it.
Here is what happened when I tried the last time to contact them via phone. When I called them for the 4th time I got a woman with an American accent. She asked if I could speak English so it must have been a realy really slow connection that prevented me from giving some explanation.
She said: Oh you're having problems, did you try going onto Netflix? I then explained the problem and she said, "Okay, I will see if someone can help you". This person came back on the line and said, The best thing for you to do now is to restart your computer. Which is very convenient of them, because I have 5 computers in my house and all of them are connected to the internet (via ADSL). It is impossible for me to restart them all at the same time, because the computer I use the most has an Ethernet cable attached to it. The next one has a wireless router with no other device connected to it. As soon as I restart this one, it would be impossible to connect to the rest. And there are 2 more connected to the computer I use the most. And all of them can work on the internet.
If the worst happens I would be unable to use my computer until I found answer, as far as I can remember the last time I restarted the computer was a couple of days ago, which was yesterday, since the problem started (Monday). My question is if there is something wrong with my ISP, or the modem or the router. And if there is, how do I fix it.
The modem and router are Cisco. If you need any additional info, or a picture of it, please let me know. I could really use some help here, cause I'm not sure what else to do. Thanks in advance. I'm on Freeserve, and Netflix works just fine for me.
Why does it keep saying can't connect to Netflix?
Does "netstream not found" mean that it can't detect the cable modem, even if you have a router and modem connected?
How can I solve this problem? I've been trying to watch Netflix for days now and the error keeps popping up. No updates to my browser are needed I've already done that, I tried updating it when I signed in to my Google Chrome Browser so that my internet gets faster because I read one website that "Updating the Chrome Version will change your internet speed," but after doing that, when I came to use it to Netflix still doesn't connect and the netstream not found error is coming up. Please help! Thank you in advance.
