How I cancel my Netflix subscription?
I currently have a Netflix account.
In May, I canceled the automatic renewals and set my renewal date to April 20, 2024. For some reason I don't know why I did that, but I'm not going to go back into the autopay setting to change it. Instead, I'm cancelling the subscription. The question I have is, what do I need to do to cancel my subscription? Is it the same as cancelling a credit card? Do I need to go to the Netflix website, or can I use my Netflix app on my phone? I haven't set up any apps or anything, so I don't know how that would work. It seems like it would be different than cancelling a card, in that there isn't a card to cancel. I am cancelling a subscription.
Here is the email I received when I cancelled my autopay: I did go to the Netflix website when I started this, but I didn't cancel there. I don't want to keep this subscription if I don't have to. If I could just send a tweet to get them to cancel my subscription for me, that would be great. Thanks for any help you can give me.
If you are using the app for your streaming device, you can do it from your device. If you're using a PC, you'll have to sign into your account on the web site to do so.
I had to do the same thing to cancel my autopay. I have been using the autopay feature for several years. I do wish they would allow users to decide whether or not they want autopay. It was something I used to do, but I've stopped using it, so I now have to cancel it every month and then re-activate it.
I also want to know why they are being so vague about cancelling their service. You have to be kidding. If someone is able to do this, why would you not be able to as well? They want people to pay them money, but don't offer any details on how they're going to handle it.
I'm glad I got to experience how it is to have no autopay.
