What is the use of app timer in Android?
I have an Android app, which shows a popup on screen to ask for the user's permission to use their microphone.
It works fine when I run it in debug mode but it does not work when I export and run it as an apk file.
Here is my code: if (checkSelfPermission(Manifest.READPHONESTATE) != PackageManager.PERMISSIONGRANTED), 1);
} else. What I have tried: I have tried changing the permissions from the manifest file but it does not work. Any suggestions? In case someone runs into the same problem, the solution is to change the requestPermissions method to this: ActivityCompat.
Can I set a timer to close apps?
I'm not really sure of the right terminology to use in this question, so please let me know if I need to clarify.
I have an iPad running iOS 10.3. I want to be able to set up a timer to close applications or perform other system actions (eg. Send out notifications).
How do I do this? Apple recently added an API to control the sleep and wake cycles of an iPad in order to conserve battery. You can see how to use it here.
Is there a way to set a timer for an app?
Thanks.
Yes there is, but it can be used as a way of "spinning up" an app without an app icon in the launcher (as long as you can find a replacement for the old app). Simply go to system settings - security - app privileges and grant your app (or service) permissions. Your app will then be available from the "start" menu. I would say, that you don't even need to use a service. A small app, without any GUI will suffice if you put the above method in the Main function.
How do I set time limits on apps?
Yes, you can limit the length of times you can use your iPhone/iPad apps.
If you enable a Limit to Hours & Minutes time option on any app in Settings > General, the app will lock up if you spend more than that amount of time using that app. See "Configure automatic app locking for individual apps" earlier in this chapter for more details on how to select individual apps and limit their lengths of usage.
When I open an app, it opens in a different location on my home screen. How do I change that? Open Settings > General > Accessibility. Set Home Screen Option to something else than Default (where it is by default).
My iPhone/iPad has a glitch; it's getting a little bit slow. What can I do about it? There are several things you can try: 1. Open Settings > General > Reset to restore the iPhone/iPad back to factory defaults.
2. Restore the iPhone/iPad back to a known working state by connecting the device to iTunes (if it's still there) and restoring a backup you have made.
3. Delete some old applications to make more space available on your iPhone/iPad. You can get rid of applications you no longer use by going to Apps > Manage > Applications > Your apps > Edit, then tapping the Uninstall or Delete button at the top of the list (look for an X icon, just next to the application name). If you don't remember which apps you deleted, you can go to iPhone/iPad Settings > General > Reset and then tap Backup and Restore.
4. Re-install any software updates you haven't already installed by going to iOS Updates in iTunes > Updates.
5. Turn off the iPhone/iPad entirely and then turn it back on.
## B. Contacts, Calendar, Reminders, Notes, and Mail As the title suggests, we'll start with Contacts, Calendar, Reminders, Notes, and Mailthe apps we spend the most time using on a daily basis. There are no configuration options here.
