Does Samsung have built-in VPN?

Where is my VPN on my Samsung?

I bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 in November. My first phone and I have been loving it so far.

The one thing that bothers me is that I can't seem to find my VPN settings anywhere. It's listed under "Settings" but there are no VPN settings there. I don't have anything under the "Security" tab and there are no VPN settings there either.

I'm on a home wifi network, and not sure if it matters, but I'm on Rogers in Canada. I was wondering if anyone has found the VPN settings for their SGS3 and could give me some pointers? If you turn on Wi-Fi tethering on the phone, you'll need to go to Settings, Tethering & Portable Wi-Fi and turn on "Tethering" (if you haven't already) or enable "Wi-Fi Tethering" (if you have). In that case, when you open a browser, it should ask you if you want to allow "Tethering" by the phone. You may also need to go into Network, WiFi, and disable any cellular data usage until your computer is connected to the Wifi.e. A lot of people get stuck with a "not found" error with the VPN. You may need to enable it for your device somehow.

There should be a "VPN Connections" option in the wifi panel. Turn that on, and follow the onscreen instructions. If you have a cable modem/router, I believe you just need to choose "Vpn" from the dropdown list of available networks.

I checked my wifi panel and it is enabled (the green light is on), but I still get the not found error. I don't have a router (I don't need one), and I'm using a cable modem (my only option). I'm not sure what to do at this point. I know I have to go into wifi panel to turn on the VPN connection, but I don't know how to do it. Any help would be appreciated!

Does Samsung have a free VPN?

Samsung is currently offering a free VPN subscription for Samsung customers in the UK and EU. There are a lot of reasons why you would want to use a VPN but for the sake of this article I'm just going to focus on a few of them. I personally have a Samsung TV, Galaxy phone, Galaxy Note 5, and an iPad.

The Samsung Free VPN offer is great for anyone with a Samsung device that has access to the internet. The app is easy to install and sign up for. You just have to go to the Samsung website and sign up for a Samsung account then download the VPN and login. It can take from 30 seconds to a minute to setup depending on the speed of your connection and how many apps you already have installed. This is why I chose to start this article with a screenshot showing all the new apps I have now installed thanks to this free VPN from Samsung. This is a big screen and the full experience.

Why should you use a VPN? Many people might ask themselves why would they need to use a VPN on their devices? Let's face it, almost every device on the market now has a microSD card slot for storing media. Not everyone will be getting the latest Samsung TV but if you do then your device will most likely have one already. If you're not streaming music or video or watching Netflix then you will most likely have a small memory card or USB stick to store your data. The idea of having to remove media from your device can be a real pain, especially if you're doing it over and over again. Why not use a VPN so you can keep your data safe and secure on your device?

Protect your data while streaming media. No matter how safe you think your device is, the chances of it getting hacked are high. Because there's always a way in. While your device might not have a security flaw, the companies who make it can introduce holes which hackers can use. Using a VPN means you can stop hackers from being able to steal your data while you stream your media. I personally have a Samsung tablet that I use for streaming movies while on the go. This means I could be walking around town and streaming a movie. I could be on the beach and still keep my data safe while streaming a movie.
