Comments. @carlosbastian - I've had Netflix working on all TV apps, so I'm not sure what's going on. The only thing I can imagine is that there is a setting in my modem somewhere where it disables Ethernet traffic on port 80. If so, I'd see if there's an option to "Always Allow" port 80 traffic on a certain connection, and see if it fixes your problem. If that's a bug, you can file it on Google's issue tracker. And/or, if there isn't such an option, you may have to manually open that port as a root user in Windows.

Ok, that does make sense. My laptop runs Ubuntu and Netflix never works from there unless I run it on a browser. I guess I will have to try what you said to see if that worked. This is kind of a big deal for me b/c a lot of my shows are from Netflix and it's really important to me that they work perfectly and work on my TV too. Is there any program that can be used to fix what you are suggesting?
