Does Hulu have AARP discount for seniors?

Is anyone familiar with a deal like this where the AARP is offering a lower rate (even free) on Hulu Plus for their senior members? It seems you don't have to be 60 or older to qualify but I couldn't find any mention of this on the AARP web site. Maybe this is something we all need to know if we want to get the full subscription. If I remember correctly, back when AARP membership was first introduced and it didn't take very long for more people to get into the pool. Some of their benefits include that you get 25% off at the supermarket/grocery store. Not sure what other savings are out there or what specific plans you would want or need, but I imagine the savings there are worth keeping in mind if you want/need the subscription. It can also provide discounts on certain products from AARP suppliers.

To be fair, though, I was one of those AARP early adopters. Also, since Hulu's offer was made during the initial launch, they may have been targeting folks like me who were then getting it for free on their phones.

Thanks! I wasn't aware that I could get the AARP discount at the box office. Is it only when you purchase your tickets online? It's different depending on theater. When I bought my tickets, I was offered the AARP discount when I got to the ticket counter. I didn't even think about it, and it was already listed on the ticket.

I was just told by the Ticketmaster agent that it was not automatic. It has to be requested.

I see some deals listed for seniors on Netflix but I don't think they are very popular.

Does anyone have any experience with them? There is not a particular senior category. It applies to all members with senior status, like free shipping, etc. They also do discounts on premium movie channel subscriptions (HBO, Showtime, Starz) which are not available at all on other streaming services.

The Amazon Prime subscription comes with free 1-day shipping on select items. They do have a senior discount but it only applies to a handful of items so it's not generally worth it. And there is no free shipping for prime members as it's part of the regular price.

How do you sign in or create an account? Do you need a password and address to be inputted for Amazon Prime? How is it different from just signing in on Hulu? You don't need to input your address. The address is auto filled based on your location. I think Hulu uses your email to activate the account unless you enter it yourself. I haven't looked closely enough to know if Amazon does that. It takes about 5 seconds.

How do I use amazon one click? Just search for a TV show or movie title and it will take you to amazon where it has links to Netflix, Hulu, HBO and YouTube. How do I watch live TV? If you have Amazon Prime you can click the Watch On Amazon link after watching a show on Amazon instead of having to download it to your pc or phone. I find that to be pretty handy. They call it live TV so you can watch it without logging in or setting up a login for it. But as far as I know it is not a service you can use separately.

One Click Watch (which is not available yet) will give you a list of shows similar to one click buy and will direct you to watch the show on that service. Amazon shows what you are missing out on by not having the subscription.

What about live TV on demand? There's a new Roku device coming out soon called the Roku Streaming Stick that will include live TV channels.
