As I mentioned in my previous post, there has been a significant amount of discussion lately about the safety and effectiveness of RoPro. One of the things that has stuck out in my mind since then is this statement from the Mayo Clinic website: RoPro OTC is NOT intended for use as an alternative to professional treatment or as an alternative to regular physical activity. So, what does this mean? Does this mean that it is dangerous to take it and/or does it mean that it is dangerous for me to take it and not see a doctor? Here is what I have been able to gather from various sources. Does it work? I found the following information from the website of the manufacturer of RoPro: RoPro OTC is an excellent product when used by those with mild-to-moderate acne. It's gentle and safe and has been used by millions of people for decades without any reported side effects.

So it works and it is safe. I also found a statement from the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) that confirms that RoPro OTC is a safe and effective treatment option for mild to moderate acne. So it's good for mild to moderate acne. That means that it is good for me!

I also found the following information on the RoPro website from the FDOver the counter (OTC) acne treatments are available to help clear up pimples, spots, and blackheads. Some of the treatments may be applied topically and others can be taken orally. Before using any OTC products, tell your healthcare provider if you have any allergies or health conditions.

I don't have any allergies and I am not currently taking any medications. So it is safe for me to use RoPro. I have a friend who uses it for her acne and she says it is a miracle drug. I do plan on talking to my dermatologist about the matter of using this product.

So, does it work? Yes, I believe so. Is it safe? The FDA website says the following about its safety: If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your healthcare professional before using RoPro OTC. So this means that I should not use it during pregnancy or if I am nursing.
