How do I connect to No-IP?

If you are having trouble accessing No-IP's website, or if you have forgotten your login information, you can create an account using the instructions below. If you need to change your email address, you will be able to do that from the login page. You can reset your password by entering your email address at the login page. You will receive an email with instructions on how to do that.

What is No-IP used for?

No-IP is used to provide a public IP address to your web server.

You will also use it to resolve the IP address of your website, and the email address of your domain, to your website.

What is a DNS Server? A DNS (Domain Name Service) server is a program that connects to the Internet and translates names like www.example.com into IP addresses like 192.168. It does this by looking up the IP address for a domain name in a database and returning the IP address to the computer asking for the address.

How does No-IP work? The No-IP web server will act as a proxy and relay all your requests through to the correct servers, including the requests you make for your website, your email, etc. This is because the No-IP web server has been designed with security in mind. You should never need to open a connection directly to the web server because the web server is always available and always running.

When you create an account on No-IP, you will be asked to set up a free trial of No-IP. This will allow you to test the service before you purchase the paid version.

When you purchase the paid version, you will be provided with your own dedicated web server. No-IP will act as your proxy and will ensure your website always has the correct IP address.

How can I access my website? To access your website, simply type the IP address of the web server (such as 192.2).

If you have a dynamic IP address, you will need to add the IP address of the server that you want to access to your dynamic DNS services such as DynDNS. If you have a static IP address, you can enter the IP address of the web server in the URL bar of your browser. How do I change the IP address of my website? To change the IP address of your website, simply log in to your account on No-IP and go to the Manage page. From here you will be able to see the IP address of your website and the IP address of your website after it has been updated.

How can I update my email address? To update your email address, simply log in to your account on No-IP and go to the Account page.

How to access remote desktop without public IP?

I want to have a simple server and access it from anywhere.

It needs to be able to work as remote desktop to a number of client computers.

I have seen how to configure Ubuntu for accessing the remote desktop over the internet using the private IP of the computer but I want to know if there is any way I can access the remote desktop without using the public IP address? You can access a server via ssh from an outside machine using a different IP address than the one the server is using. This can be achieved by assigning an IP address to the interface you want to connect to your server with.

How can I use No-IP for remote access?

I'm setting up an old PC for general use and it needs to be remotely accessible over the internet.

It has no network card and I'm not able to get one installed, so I need a solution that doesn't require a network card. My first thought was to use No-IP, but the page for remote access says it only works with a network card.

Is there a way to set up No-IP for remote access? You can download the software from No-IP and install it on the target machine. You'll then need to run the following command: noip2 -d . That's all there is to it. The software will configure the DNS records for your domain and automatically create the necessary firewall rules. There is no remote access as such - this is just making the device "locally" accessible.

You could then, of course, run a web server on the target machine if you wanted it to be reachable from the Internet.
