How do I extract data from multiple PDF files to Excel?
I have multiple PDF files with different number of pages and different content. I want to extract data from these PDFs and save them to a new Excel sheet.
I have used the following command in DOS: C:> pdftotext -layout -topright -noprint -nocss file1.pdf file2.pdf >outfile.csv
But it only takes one file at a time and generates a single excel file. Please help me to resolve this issue. Thanks in advance. Pdftotext -layout -topright -noprint -nocss file*csv. Ie, use the *pdf wildcard in your filename. You can also do it via a batch file : for %%i in (file1.pdf,file2.pdf) do pdftotext -layout -topright -noprint -nocss %%i >outfile.
Can we convert data from a PDF to Excel?
I have an XML document that needs to be converted to an Excel file. I am doing some work on a legacy system that allows the user to generate PDF's from the data and the software can then convert the PDF to excel if needed. Is there anyway to convert from a PDF to Excel file? If not can anyone recommend any alternatives that I can use in order to produce an Excel file from the XML? Use XSLT to transform the PDF into an Excel file.

I'm not sure what you're asking, but if you want to save a PDF in Excel you should be able to do it with Microsoft Office 2023. You can either choose to save the file as a .xlsx or .csv file. The latter is the easier option. It's also probably the easiest way to convert PDFs to text.
As for saving a PDF in Word, it's very much possible. I don't have any info on how to do it, but I would think there's an option to save it as a text file that you could export to a PDF. Just search "Save as Word file" on Google.

By Paul Fidalgo - Posted on January 17th, 2023. You can convert a PDF to .DOCX in Microsoft Office, but there's no real reason to do so. PDFs can be read in Office by anyone who can view a PDF without installing additional software. In addition, you can just save a PDF in Word as a text file that's easily convertible to a .docx file.
