How many times can I refund on Google Play?

What is the best reason to get a refund on Google Play?

Alex

When I have a refund, how many days is an appropriate amount of time for Google to reissue it and not ask me to resubmit it?

R. B.

Google doesn't provide a specified period in which we must respond to a request, so I would personally recommend you request the refund be sent as soon as possible. The longer you wait, the more likely Google's policy will change; sometimes these requests are approved, other times they go into the system indefinitely or even disappear off your account completely. When doing some initial research about this in the Google Play Help Forum (GPHF), it was unclear what timeframe is associated with those responses and whether they have been successful.

Unfortunately, Google doesn't provide any official information when the policy changes, but that could still benefit the Google Play customer by asking for a refund. That being said, I know from personal experience that refund requests that arrive in the middle of the night often have little hope of being approved until business hours the next day, so I still recommend that if you haven't received the refund that day, you should ask them to expedite it.

To get a refund, use the "Refund request" option in the "My apps & games" section of your Google Play console after selecting the refund you wish to request. Refund request screen on the left with a list of refunds. What happens during the refund process? Sam. The refund process begins when you submit your refund request. Google's automated system will perform an immediate refund of the unlisted price at the moment you request it. If your requested refund can't be completed immediately, the refund will take place within 72 hours.

After an initial credit for the refund, you can either immediately download the refunded copy of the purchased item or make use of the waiting period before redeeming your refund. If the item is already under a reservation you will be unable to download it from the Google Play Store. But please don't worry, you can return it to the retailer and the refund will be credited back into your Google Play account at a later date.

I did find some examples of refund requests that seem to fail due to non-human errors. But if you're getting refund requests back to yourself for purchases where you already attempted a refund, that seems like a reasonable outcome.

Google has a new feature called the Refund Policy. You can only refund an item once within 14 days of purchase. This is not a refund, it is a 'product exchange' feature. What this means is that you can only exchange one item in your account at a time. The other products in your account remain as they are.

To apply for an exchange, please follow these steps: Log into your Google Play account and select your purchase from the Play Store on the top-left. If you have multiple purchases, then select the best option in your purchase history.

Click on the 'Product Details' icon in the top-right corner. Click 'Exchange Product' and choose the option that best fits your situation.

Refunds are processed within 2 business days. If you have any questions, please reach out to our customer care team through the Google Play Help Center.
