What are the terms of service for IPVanish?

I am a bit new to VPN and looking into this product. They have an offer of 60 days free service, but I'd like to know what kind of commitment I'm getting into, as far as long term usage goes.

I have a concern that if I switch over to IPVanish that they may try to use my bandwidth/data usage for their own business. I would like to know if there is some sort of agreement with them that allows them to use my bandwidth for their own purposes, or do I need to read the whole thing through before signing up and making sure that is all spelled out in the TOS? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

IPvanish has a no-log policy and provides data encryption which should be sufficient for your needs. So you can use it with confidence.00 per day. That means you can use it as long as you like with no cap on it at any time. If you need more bandwidth at some point during that 7 day period, you can always purchase an additional 7 day free trial.

The terms and conditions are listed in the signup process (which you'll find on the top of the page when you click the "Sign Up" button) and will appear on the top of each page that you access via the app. This should be sufficient to give you a sense of what is and isn't allowed.

Good luck! The best way to predict the future is to invent it - Alan Kay. Thanks for the info, this looks like a great service! The only problem I have is that I have family in Canada who also use the internet, but they don't have a credit card yet so I can't sign up with them. Is there any way that I can just have them sign up for their own account? I don't want to sign up for 2 accounts, but I don't want to be tied to anyone.

Is IPVanish any good?

I've been using IPVanish for about 6 months. However, I'm about to renew and have a few questions about it. I know it's best to ask this on their forums, but I can't find it.

How does the "unlimited" plan work? For example, if I want to do something like watch a movie on Netflix (or something similar), will it work? Or will I have to pay extra for that service? - Will it be possible to use a VPN server on my home network (I use a Netgear N600) and have the IPVanish app connect to that server, or will I have to use their servers? - Is there a limit to how much data I can transfer? - Will I be able to access the Internet without being logged in to a website? For example, if I visit a website, will the IPVanish app still be able to see that site? If not, how can I tell if it's accessing the Internet at all? - I realize that some of these questions may be common, but I can't find any answers anywhere. Where is IPVanish based?

IPVanish is based in the United States. Is IPVanish safe? IPVanish has an excellent safety record and has never had any reported complaints or issues with malware or viruses. Is IPVanish secure? Yes, IPVanish provides end-to-end encryption for all of your web browsing and communication. This means that your data is encrypted at each step along the way.

How does IPVanish work? IPVanish uses a virtual private network (VPN) service, which makes your Internet traffic appear as if it were coming from another location on the Internet. The benefit of this is that the ISP can't see your traffic, and you're able to access blocked content.

IPVanish is an outstanding VPN provider because it offers a wide range of high-quality features that other VPN providers don't provide, including: Strong encryption. High-quality servers. Fast and reliable connections. Unlimited bandwidth. Advanced DNS leak protection. IPVanish allows you to connect to more than 50 servers in 11 countries, including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand. When you connect to a VPN, your Internet traffic is tunneled through the VPN connection. This means that the VPN server will hide your IP address. When you connect to a website, the web server sees your IP address, but your actual IP address is masked by the VPN server. If you use a non-VPN client such as a browser, you are still able to access blocked content because your client is connecting to the VPN server, and the VPN server is masking your IP address.

You can connect to a VPN from any device and you can leave it connected at all times. There is no need to connect and disconnect from a VPN because you always have access to your data.

IPVanish comes with a client application for Windows, Mac, Linux and iOS. You can download it directly from the company website. You can also download the IPVanish Android and IPVanish Mac apps.
