I recently got an Apple TV and a TCL 4K TV (50). I use Netflix, Amazon Video and YouTube all the time. Is it necessary to use a streaming box like Roku or Fire TV if I already have a smart TV? I am new to smart TVs and streaming boxes and do not know if one is better than the other.

The advantage of having a streaming box is that I can then access my favorite apps, movies and shows anywhere in the house. I also need to be able to access my music and pictures from various devices. But is it really necessary to use a streaming box if I already have a smart TV?
