Why is Kelly Services being sued?

It's an employment agency who hires temp workers for jobs such as waitstaff, clerks, etc. We will be suing Kelly Services on behalf of one of their former employees who was a former Kelly employee and who also happens to be Muslim. He claims that he was subjected to unlawful discrimination when he was refused a job by this worker who was hired by Kelly Services.

The reason Kelly is being sued is because when someone who hires workers comes across as a bad boss or employer or does something wrong to a worker they hire, such conduct isn't just discriminatory towards the Muslim worker in question but discriminatory to all Muslim workers. As such we are going after Kelly Services along with the worker's former employer as defendants. In addition to doing that we are also doing it as a part of a class action lawsuit because of the broad claims this particular worker has.

Who else is in the case? I'm happy to say that among the many who have joined us are an organization called the Council on American-Islamic Relations. It is one of the largest Muslim American organization here in the U. They have filed this lawsuit to assist us. Many other organizations have joined together with us in this cause. They have joined our lawsuits and will continue to aid us by providing counsel. They will continue to help in our legal advocacy for equal rights.

Kelly Services is currently available in only one state and that is Maryland. The company has offices located in Baltimore, Maryland and Westchester, New York.
