Does Windscribe work for Torrenting Reddit?
Hi everyone, I live in the US and I don't want to spend the cash for a satellite service. I am wondering if Windscribe will still work when I am in the US for example? I do not torrent as I am against the BitTorrent protocol but I am wondering if Windscribe works for me? Anybody know how well this VPN and its DNS server will keep me from getting a "no route" or any similar type of message when trying to access Reddit through Torrenting Reddit using the VPN software? Anyone? Re: ? You mean if you're using something like "uTorrent", "rTorrent" etc ? Because if you're torrenting Reddit, then it won't affect your connection at all (unless you're doing something else while torrenting) because your torrent client will use a different IP address for Torrenting and just the program itself will use the same IP address it used before. The only thing you'd have to do is change DNS servers in your router settings and/or maybe change Windscribe's DNS servers which are already available here: (Windscribe has 3 available). Ok, so I am just asking for clarification. So you are saying that I should not have an issue with Reddit by Torrenting Reddit using my Windscribe services? If so, you are correct. Thank you!
If I understand your post right you're asking if you can torrent while at home in the USA using Windscribe on a device that is connected to the Internet in the USA? As of right now Windscribe works as an ISP replacement and not a VPN replacement (which would be a paid option). However, we're working on adding VPN features soon so we will make sure the VPN feature works for Torrenting.
In the meantime, the DNS servers you have on the client and the DNS servers in the VPN settings should work for your current setup. If you need help or want to try it out I suggest you go to the support forum. The forums are there for that purpose. You can try anything out there for free.
Thank you very much for your response.

What is a VPN? VPN (Virtual Private Network) works with your ISP to let you access a site from a completely new IP address. This is usually done through the use of proxy servers, which is much cheaper than creating a VPN server for your home.
This lets users connect to different geographic regions, effectively moving around the restrictions and blocks which may apply to them. While there are a wide variety of reasons for connecting to VPNs, many use the free private network as an effective security measure when using the internet in foreign countries.

Which VPN should I use for Torrenting?
I'm an absolute beginner to Torrents, so I'm finding that there is very little information about a subject which I feel should be extremely popular. There are a couple of VPNs out there which let you torrent, however the information that is out there is either very basic (just how much data you will use and therefore how long it takes you to download the content) or too advanced for my skills.
You might also like. How do I make sure I'm protected while using a VPN? I've used vpn-tunnel.com before to check for any unwanted activity on my router and firewall but when I try to stream something from a Netflix list I can only see that I have one active connection (my personal laptop).
If I turn off the VPN while streaming does that mean that I'm now vulnerable to attacks? If you are using VPN Tunnel then you will be fine if you are only sharing your net connection on LAN and your private address range. Vpn-tunnel has 3 types of routers for the last several years, their VPN routers work with any router no matter what OS version or router model it has. It is really amazing VPN Router software I ever seen in the world. The customer service is great as well.
Hi, I had a question about vpn-tunnel. I just downloaded the free version and am looking at your site. Everything seems to be working OK. How do you connect through the website? Do you have to connect through some separate program or do you connect through the vpn-tunnel.com website? My question is this: Does the vpn-tunnel website program connect through the router or does it use a remote server program? Because if its just connecting locally through the router then there is no need to subscribe to the vpn-tunnel.com website program and so then there is no reason for the free version? Thanks in advance for your help.
I have just used vpn-tunnel for the first time and the internet speed seems to slow down on a couple of apps/websites. On all other websites it works perfectly and I do notice the speed loss. What should I be looking for to diagnose this?
