How do I find my Family Link code?

How can I see everything on my child's phone free?

If it's an Android device, you can use the Titanium Backup app (available from the Android Play Store). As well as letting you see all the apps installed on the phone, it also allows you to uninstall them as well.

Also have a look at this question/answer on how to get access to a child's data - the answer there should be applicable if the device is android. UPDATE: Now that apps are sandboxed, there's probably no way of seeing every app an Android device has. Even if they weren't sandboxed, any one app has only a tiny bit of system resources available. So unless the OS is patched or updated with a root exploit, you can't really view everything running on the system.

How does Family Link work?

The family linkage system in the UK, known as 'Family Link', is a free service for eligible parents, grandparents and children who wish to find each other. If you are eligible to be contacted, we will ask you for the information we need to contact you.

The system will then check you are already registered on the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) and you may be contacted by your child's school if we think they could benefit from being in touch with you. Family Link allows children to stay in contact with their grandparents and parents when they move out of their parents' or grandparents' house. It enables children to stay in touch with their parents and grandparents even if they move from the area.

Our schools will contact parents who have registered their child on the system to invite them to register on the system themselves. Parents must register their child to receive a Family Link address.

What happens if I don't register my child on the system? If you do not register your child on the system, they will not be able to stay in touch with you. The system will continue to send you letters, invitations and updates regarding your child's progress but you will not be able to see their progress.

What if I want to opt out of receiving letters and invitations from my child's school? Parents can opt out of receiving letters and invitations from their child's school. Parents need to register their child on the system to opt out. You must register your child every two years to opt out.

What if I don't want my child to stay in touch with me? If you do not register your child on the system and you would like to keep in touch with them, you can register to receive the NCMP data. You can still access the data by logging into your own account.

How can I know if my child has registered on the system?

How do I remove a Google family link?

(Family link)

I am wondering how I remove a family link from my google account. I already have removed the account, but I still have the link. When I go to my family link there is not an option to remove it. I read on Google that I can go to the Google help page and remove the link there, but I am not sure what the URL for that page is? Is it or something else? Thanks!

I was already able to fix this issue after some research. Thank you! In my case the problem was that I had forgotten to turn off the account in Google Family Link Settings. To turn off your account go to under "Profile & privacy" click on "Settings" and "Your connections" then click "Unlink Account".

My daughter has the same family link that I do, so to help her with this same issue I created a new 'unlink account' link to redirect to the 'your connections' page. Here's what I did: 1) Go to your personal site - if you have one - and click on your name in the upper left corner. 2) You will be taken to your profile. If not, click on the image of your avatar on the top left side of your browser. It should bring you back to your profile page.

3) Under "Your Connections" click "Unlink Account". 4) Enter your email address and the address you would like to unlink your account at. It will prompt you for your password.

5) Click on "Login" to sign in to the website where you want to unlink your account. If you do not have a personal website, you will be taken to the 'Your connections' page. You may be prompted for your password.

6) You will then be taken to a page that looks similar to the page you will get if you click on the "Unlink Account" button in Google Family Link Settings. However, I believe you will see more options here and it may be possible to remove the family link from there.

In my case I ended up just removing my account.

How do I find my Family Link code?

A family code is required to link your child records with your Family Information (birth record, mother's and father's maiden names, etc.) for free. This code is not required for linking other record types on FamilySearch. To find your code, login to your account and click on My Account and you should see the area to enter your code. If you don't see this information, you can visit the Family Search Support page.

What happens if I don't have a family code? Some of the information you enter into your family tree will be unavailable to FamilySearch until you link to your family members. For example, we are not able to upload or import all the images of photographs and photos into our database. Without a Family Link code, you won't be able to show any pictures of your ancestors. Other areas of data that are not available through FamilySearch will be accessible through other programs.

How do I remove parental controls without a password?

Is it possible to remove parental controls on a game without the password? I'm not sure if the password is saved in the file but I am having trouble removing the restrictions. Is there a way around this? It's probably been addressed but I have no idea where to look.

It seems like most of the time there isn't a way to remove them without a password, so you might be out of luck. I guess you can go to the parental controls page and disable the ones you don't want, but they'll still be there.

It's always annoying when you buy a game for your kid and it automatically puts parental controls on. I would assume that a game's publisher has a pretty good idea of how to make a game appealing to minors, and what sort of content is likely to appeal to kids. While the publisher may have made a bad decision in this particular instance, they should have some guidelines to follow in regards to what games they produce.

That said, I've also played a few games on consoles that I wouldn't recommend for anyone under the age of 18. The problem with that is that you are giving them access to a device that is capable of pretty much doing anything they want with.

You can put parental controls on your kid's game, and you can't do that on your phone, computer or television. But you can make a game on the computer and then give your kid your phone and they can play that.

All the while you're sitting at home thinking I should have done something more about this. There is no way to remove parental controls without a password. If you don't have a password, you don't have parental controls.

That being said, I wouldn't recommend buying a game for a kid without parental controls. The odds are pretty high that if they don't see the game as being appropriate for them, they'll just delete it.

I didn't even know the parental controls were there. They are just part of the game that is installed on the Wii U? How is that even possible? That's why they are there. They're included with the game.

Can parents use Family Link on Android?

It is not true, but many parents (and children) are wondering if they can use the Family Link mobile app to track their children's school information. I thought it would be good to explain what Family Link can and cannot do.

The Family Link mobile app allows you to share your children's education records with another family member or a trusted guardian. You can share a few important pieces of information, including who enrolled your child in school, the school name, phone number, and even some data (like immunization information).

Family Link is not intended to be used as a way to obtain your child's school records. Some schools do not provide public information and may restrict access. Some families have already accessed their children's records by other means and may not want their child's other family members to have access to them. Others just don't have the time or the computer skills to log in to school systems using the web-based forms. Finally, Family Link is intended for use by two parent families. This information is for a first-time user and we have a lot of documentation to keep users on track during setup. For those that have used Family Link before, there have been changes and we can only make changes after careful review.

What else can the Family Link app do? Track child progress: Students can send a progress note to anyone via the Family Link app. If the teacher approves, the notes become part of the student's records. If you are setting up Family Link for a first-time user, the child needs to approve the notes. Otherwise the teacher will be able to see the notes on the Family Link website. The teacher can then review the notes and decide how they wish to track the student's progress.

If you are the student's main contact, you will also see all of these notes. You can request that the notes remain on the family record for your reference. Note: You cannot read individual student notes on the website. If you are a student, you can choose to add notes on the Family Link website if you wish.

Track immunization: Students can send their immunization records to their primary caregiver using the Family Link app. You can only send the immunization record if you are the student's main caregiver. The Family Link website does not allow the student to send records.
